OMG, I grew up in Newark, NJ hearing latin music! This is one of my favorites. The older kids would play it, and now as a mature woman, I love it to this day. The great Tito Puente! Fantastic artist!

I enjoyed everything about this performance. The sharpness, the attitude, the movement (styling, technique, etc.), everything worked for me. Great job you two, would watch again.

bad. everything is bad. outfit, styling, technique ... everything. this is no pachanga or salsa. this is just moves and steps that imitate pachanga or salsa.

No, (s)he's right. It really has absolutely nothing whatever to do with pachanga as it was originally danced.

@@hughmannwright I don't know if this is pachanga or not, but to agree with his/her claim that their styling and technique are bad ... I would like to see you and him/her dance, lol.

@@DiegoGonzalez-go2qy Well it's perfectly simple, Diego. I wasn't really agreeing or disagreeing with the claim about styling. I pointed out quite simply that what they are dancing has nothing whatever to do with real pachanga. Now, you just admitted that you don't know whether this is pachanga or not -- which suggests that you're not too well placed to make judgements about this. So if you want to discuss their "styling" - perhaps we can agree that this styling is hopelessly inappropriate for the dance that was called "pachanga". Likewise, the technique is no doubt perfectly fine in its own way for dancing other kinds of music - but it would have been unrecognizable to pachanga dancers in the 1950s. Of course, if you like their styling and technique, there's nothing wrong with that. Just understands that it scarcely amounts to a performance of a pachanga.
