Children & Nature Network
United States
Приєднався 7 кві 2008
The Children & Nature Network, a US-based nonprofit, believes that regular outdoor experiences are essential for children's healthy development. In fact, a growing body of research shows that time in nature makes kids healthier, happier, and more successful in school.
We support and mobilize a global movement of leaders, educators, practitioners and parents working to increase equitable access to nature so that children-and the natural world-can thrive. We envision a world in which all children, regardless of race, income or geography, have access to the proven benefits of nature where they live, learn and play.

Understand Your Community’s Resources Through a Landscape Scan
Are you looking for ways to better understand your community’s assets and opportunities to further children and nature strategies? If so, then mapping your community’s landscape can further your efforts by better understanding the local resources, assets, gaps and barriers to connect children to nature.
Our presenters shared strategies to help you build a clearer picture of where you can make the most impact. Conducting a landscape scan of relevant policies, stakeholders, programs and experiences will help you better understand the assets, opportunities, resources and barriers in your community. Team members from Nature Everywhere Communities shared their first hand experience and lessons learned.
This activity is an important Coalition Builder action as part of the Nature Everywhere Communities Action Challenge. If you are interested in expanding children’s access to nature and are doing a landscape scan, consider joining the Action Challenge in order to gain recognition for your actions. Learn more about the Action Challenge and how to register at www.childrenandnature.org/nature-everywhere-action-challenge.

Fantastic. More details? Suggestions?
🌎🌏🌍🌻🌺🌹🐝🐝🦋🌳⛰️👍🏼.

Great video!
Great video!
the best!
Children label Hispanic or Latino are the most at risk with in the city of Grand Rapids and it public schools are the greater number in the school's why their parks are least developed their the most sought out by law enforcement and known as fascist or gang members. They also had the least representation and we need to thank the community leaders the administration of the schools and the city and in particularly the mayor Roslyn Bliss
Our community as Hispanics Mexican Americans and Puerto Ricans do not know what racial equity there's no balance 4 us within the city or the schools as far as having representation
why not mirroring that same application in Hispanic communities like perks name Roberto Clemente or Kensington which 90% of those parks are flat ground no swing sets tennis courts slides or tracks flat ground
The Mayor of grand rapids has supported developing parks in the millions predominantly Caucasian communities
