Hello! Thank you very much for bringing my attention to this tool by Monteverede which I didn't know about. This is very expensive. I could have suspected though that if something seemingly 'original' comes from China in terms of well known products just as fountain pens are, this would most probably be a copied design ;) Nevertheless, it writes properly.

@@inkextasy Yeah, I'm thinking about buying one from Monteverde. The irony is that this chinese copy has the glass-breaker feature that I really like. The Monteverde doesn't have this tool...

​@@MrNevergreen Absolutely yes if your budget allows. I do suggest buying the original product first. Chinese producers keep copying so many designs it's incredible. I saw computer wallpaper designs which have been on the Internet for years now utilized into bedding designs on Temu. Or Tarot cards funded by donations on Kickstarter copied and printed on a cheap paper sold by Chinese. In these cases, no one gets either a credit or money from licensing and there's been no regulation to stop it yet. So make Monteverde happy. I love all writing tools and art so depending on a budget, I buy either original pens or copies for reviews.

If you mean the size, it's 1.6 mm long x 0.6 mm wide. I have an EF type. They are slightly bent on the edges of the upper side to hold on the wings of the feed part.

The 14k gold nib? That's one expensive nib for a low cost pen, but must look very cool together :) You could probably use it with Jinhao 65 too (another clone). EF nibs feel the same in both though the latter pen is very tiny. I reviewed it this year.

Isn't EF equal to 0.3 perhaps? Jinhao 65 has the exact same nib but the body is much thinner and smaller. Also a great choice for detailed drawings.

@@inkextasy the EF nib option is somewhere between 0.38 to 0.4mm. Theres another nib option called 03, which has to be 0.3mm. Ive seen a bunch of stores on ali express with that option.

@@inkextasy got my jinhao 80s from J.H stationary store on ali express. Got 4 of em and not a single one is faulty.

I'm not really familiar with this ink, never used it, but I've googled sample photos of the ink on a paper just now, and sometime it looks more gray than other black inks. The other solution which comes on my mind is that your converter (or the Jinhao 777 upper part, where the ink goes in) might have been washed with water but some of it remained inside. This could have bleached, dissolved the black ink into gray. Do you use ink cartridges or the converter and the bottled ink? Is your nib F size or broader?

@@inkextasy i use the ink converter and bottles ink. The nib size is F

@@ryuga2852 Do you have any other fountain pen to test the same bottled Parker ink with to see if it comes out grey again? I think it's not the pen fault unless there (or in the ink converter) are bits of water inside, left after fe. washing it. Try to use a tissue on the nib to make it soak the initial ink, then write again.

Sorry, not true. You can buy it in many on-line stationary stores in Poland but they may or may not ship it abroad.

I suggest you get a fountain pen converter with a hole diameter of 3.4 mm and a bottle of fountain pen ink of your choice, or ink cartridges with the hole size as above. Smaller types won't fit.

Yes it is, thank you! These kind of rollerball pens like Pilot V5 and similar with/or without replaceable ink cartridges are called 'capillary pens' in Polish (my 1st lang.) but it probably makes no sense in English :)

Which store at Ali Express? It looks like a "technical pen". The nib is replaced by a tiny hollow tube.
