Raglan Road Cover in G - on a Low Whistle Made in Romania!

Backing track available in D and soon also in G! I'm playing on a low G whistle which was made by someone in Romania (Andrei Francisco). Let me know if you are interested in an online course where you learn how to play film music and other songs on whistles and other instruments, how to stay on beat, how to transpose your pieces easily and make your own backing tracks. As someone studying percu...
Raglan Road - Backing Track in D (2 verses) with Guitar and Cello
Переглядів 1589 місяців тому
Let me know if you have any questions! When the tune starts over, there is no extra measure. You end the whistle solo with a long D (lasting 1 measure) and then the tune starts again - meaning you have 2 beats of silence and on the 3rd beat you start again (that's where the word "on" would be, as in "On Raglan Road..." or "On Grafton Street..."). Let me know if you are interested in an online c...
Raglan Road - Slow Backing Track in D with Guitar

I loved this song when I first heard Loreena McKennitt sing it and that's why I wanted to play it at a slow tempo on whistle. Hope you enjoy this backing track. Let me know if you have any suggestions. I plan to create different versions and also play it on D and G whistle. In the whistle tabs, each group of letters separated by a space is one measure. Hope that makes it easier to follow. The f...

Inisheer Guitar Backing Track - FIRST ATTEMPT - with Tin Whistle tabs

This is only the first attempt, as I am still learning to play guitar and taking weekly lessons. If you're interested, I can remake it as I get better at both playing guitar and mixing my music. I can also make it in other keys etc. If you have any questions about when to start playing, how the theme repeats, I'd be happy to help. Want to learn how to play film and game music on your preferred ...
The Last of the Mohicans theme on Romanian whistle in C (with new backing track)

This isn't perfect but I wanted to show you this beautiful backing track I created. I plan to make it different keys, and how the song sounds on Romanian C whistle. I don't really like to play it in this key (Am) because it's hard to go up in the 2nd part of the song. RO: Tema din Ultimul Mohican la fluier romanesc. The Last of the Mohicans - Promentory - Backing Track in Am
Переглядів 35011 місяців тому
You can play this in Am on two different types of whistle: C or G (because there is no F note). So the starting notes are C...BAE... (or C...BAA... if you want to start in the 1st octave and stay in it). I may reupload this after I learn more about mixing and mastering. Please let me know how it sounds on your sound system. I intend to make more versions, especially the one suitable for Tin Whi...
Walking in Sarti, Greece from the supermarket to the church

A walk along a beautiful street with villas and flowers. Around where I start are 3 groceries stores, the biggest one being Kritikos, where they have great cheese and ham pies and good, but cheaper coffee than downtown. Once you get to the church, there is a beautiful walk along the cliffs overlooking the sea which I cover in my other video: ua-cam.com/video/5OKoENnbkPs/v-deo.html

Did you make the other 3 versions
hey man, after some months the tuning of both my 16'' fiberskin and renaissnce head went down by almost 5 whole tones. they are unplayable now because of their muddy bassy sound. Didd any of your drums' tuning alter after some time?
bel video, fatto bene, grazie
❤ Dan, Thank You. I packed my Tin Whistle away after 2 Trips to ICU. It has taken years to even blow up a Balloon so now I am singing okay again and hoping to give the Whistle some time again. 💫
Sounds Great how did you get the effects?
Thank you! I Which effects do you mean? The audio editing or the techniques thmeselves?
Thankkk you that’s so helpful 🙏
You're welcome! Have you decided which one to go for?
Bună foarte frumos se aude . Cum se numește acest minunat instrument? Vă mulțumesc
Scrie in titlu, este un Low Whistle irlandez. Acesta pe care Dar culmea, acesta pe care îl am eu este facut de un român!
Frumos peisajul!
Good thorough instructions! Thanks a lot!
Glad it was helpful! Did you try it? :)
I'm new and just started playing tin whistle. This is one of my favorite songs of all time, and I want to learn it, but I have one question. In the 2nd fast part where you're playing the same note back to back 2-3 times in a row (b, b, b, c, D, D,), you must use tounging there, right? I would think it impossible to have the notes sound separated by just stopping and starting your breath that quickly without an articulation technique like tounging.
Yes but tonguing is very easy to do especially on tin whistle
Well done So haunting the tune
Thank you!
Hello! Can you please provide the sheet music you used? I have some kind, but it's too high version for Tin Whistle D :( I took them from the tabs for Low whistle :(
I encourage you to learn this very simple, yet important principle: any song in a major key that doesn't have accidentals can be played on any whistle. Same for songs in a minor key. If you learn sheet music notation, you can transpose any song within seconds to the right key for your whistlle using Musescore (and download the sheet from them if you have a pro account). I was taking flute lessons and still I didn't realize this until much later on!

Minunat!
Mersi! :)
Ma bucur ca am descoperit acest canal! Sper sa ne incanti si cu alte melodii!
Mersi! Da, o sa mai urmeze cateva piese curand!
What measure and tempo is this? I cannot figure out where to start
The piece is in 3/4 and the tempo is 70. You can either start right on the first beat with the "b" and omit the first d, which comes before. That is called a "Pickup measure", where there is one note that is before the 1st beat of the first measure. That is why I left some time before the backing track starts and an additional guitar measure. So if you want to start on the "one" with "b.... a b D b...", you would need to count 6 guitar notes which comprise the first measure and start on the 7th note. Now if that is hard, than you need a backing track with a metronome, which I create on Patreon (but haven't yet for this piece). I don't know if I would have been able to play along with a backing track like this in my first year and a half of flute lessons, although some people probably can do it easily. I will also make a cover myself so you can hear.
E foarte frumos, un pic straniu, parca urmărești valurile marii pe nisip... poți asculta sau privi la nesfârșit.
Da, posibil sa fie un pic straniu si pentru ca am trecut de la La major la minor la un moment dat. Experimentez :)
kind of fast compared to other recordings but lovely guitar!
Thank you for your comment - however I don't think this style of guitar really works for this tune which is why, now that I own an actual guitar, I made a different version. And I plan to remake it even better as I keep practicing: ua-cam.com/video/fRUu7zvFv8Y/v-deo.htmlsi What speed is it usually played at?
Greath🥰 How long did your walk take? where did you start from?
I'm not sure exactly cause we stopped along the way in various places. But the walk itself takes about as much as you can see in my 3 clips plus a little more, cause I filmed almost the entire way. I started from the area with the restaurants.
Beautiful backing track,, Innisheer,, and tabs attached, thank you.
Glad to hear you liked it!
Now that I have a guitar, I've created a first draft of a new backing track with cello and guitar: ua-cam.com/video/fRUu7zvFv8Y/v-deo.html Let me know how it sounds and if you're interested in me remaking it in other keys and with better sound, as I get better both at playing guitar and mixing my music.
❤Piele de găină 🤩🥰🫶🏼🤗
Ma bucur ca ti-a placut!
Now that I have a guitar, I can try to make a better backing track. Just need to learn how to change those chords fast enough :) The one I used here was a virtual instrument (of real guitar samples of course, but I didn't know how the arpegios should actually be played by a real guitarist.
Beat soundtrack. Great job!
Thank you!
Sound like C bass but it look too small
That was a C#, so a little smaller.
Are these drums made in Taiwan or the USA?
I don't know

Hello Haider penis drum

Cool I’m gonna learn this
Where can I buy this metal ney
That was not a metal Ney, put a plastic Ney made by me from a pipe. But you can buy great metal Neys from Simone Horus.
Very good tone, do you give lessons
Thanks! I find that on Ney, it takes a long time to get the sound, but once you get it, it's pretty much the same tone every time, it's not difficult anymore (like on Flute or Quena for example). I don't pay much these days, but I do plan on creating a Frame Drum course.

very nice brother. i will try it at home! i love pressure strokes❤️where you live in romania?
Thanks! Did you succeed? :) I live in Bucharest
Amazing 😭 hope you are very happy in romania, love from Brasil
Thanks!
Wow Man 😭 you are awesome
Thanks! Are you practicing snapping? I want to mention something I didn't know when I made this video - with the free hand, it's not necessary to snap the index on top of the middle finger, it's also possible to do it the normal way.
@@danmusiceasy yes i am! I'm in the state of life that i'm understanding How breathing is in everything I do, and that I can do anything with it. So it's taking a lot of effort to snap them rhythmicaly, so I can get to the point I don't think about it at all. The index swap was Just mindblowing for me. So i'm very happy when i find people that I connect to in any level. One day i'll link you a video of me doing It playing some brasilian music xD Thanks! Have a great day
@@pedroricardomg Good luck! If you feel like it, I invite you to join my Facebook group - Frame Drumming, Percussion and Music Production Basics: facebook.com/groups/293829225519223 I plan on creating an online course in English soon and you will be able to try it for free for a week.
@@danmusiceasy 👏😌🌟
I managed to greatly improve its sound by using a hair dryer, at the recommendation of a percussionist whom I learned from. instagram.com/p/CnZJk_mJcOR/
Hi. How did you use the harirdryer? And what was the improvement? I've just bought a 22 inch remo with the fiberskyn head and it sounds a little flat and dull compared to videos I've seen. I'm wondering if the hairdryer will help me, but not sure how to use it!
@@biskoss I used it a little in the middle of the drum, then checked the sound, then a little later on I tried again, by blowing for longer. I did't realize how much it improved until later on. This is how it sounds now - vm.tiktok.com/ZMY8oVdcg/
@Dan Mihaescu / World Flutes and Drums great thanks Dan. That does sound a lot better!
@@biskoss You're welcome! Let me know if you succeed with your drum! :)
That's an idea, where did you find the way to it?
what a great sound and great playing, thanks a lot
Thank you! Btw, I am planning to put together a course where I explain in detail how to create variations like this.
@@danmusiceasy good luck with that man!
This is great. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you so much :)
Glad it helped!
The 16 inch fiberskyn sounds like mine which isn't very good. The Renaissance sounds better.
Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful music and nice tabulatures. I’ll try on my. Flute
Did you try it? And did you play it on tin whistle
Thank you!
@@danmusiceasy can you make tabs for shape of my heart (sting) tin whistle D
@@Silivren-Míriel I'm not making tabs at the moment, maybe for some pieces that I will play myself... Highly recommend you learn to read sheet music and look for it on Musescore
