If you put the time these solos were recorded into context, you can totally hear what started coming from the States in the late 70's and 80's. Really fantastic stuff and way ahead of his time.

I estimate the original record was released during the last third of the Seventies.. kinda of Punk'n Roll with a cool female singer .

Yesterday this Lp arrived at my home and it's gorgeous. One only wonder that such talents ( especially the songwriter, singer, rhythm guitar player...) had not recorded more official long players during their era , there were only one or two Decca singles and one song was even produced by George Martin , nevertheless they faded away without much impact ...though they are miles better than many popular acts from their times but without bigger commercial support even a genius has not much chance to become more popular during life time , maybe later ...great Lp. Ich

I think the Tremeloes had same problems as for instance Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich and the Sweet with one difference, they could write their own music as A-sides and Hello Buddy and Right wheel left hammer weren't that bad were they ?

I first heard Ollie Halsall on a Patto album. Sweet mother of God!!! There are unsung/underrated guitarists, and then there's guitarists like Ollie! It amazes me how such an incredible musician as Halsall just flies over some people's heads ( it's those people that the birdie song was written for) because, as far as I'm aware...NOBODY WAS PULLING OFF THAT KIND OF SHIT! granted, we have/had Holdsworth! But I have seen NOTHING really said about Ollie Halsall. Great musicianship! Great tone! (As tone is acquired without hods of distortion! You can hear it all with some overdriven valves!!! To me, OLLIE HALSALL is the most unsing guitarist ever! And hands down one of the greatest
