Being a hearing and ASL fluent person, I think it was lifeless. Emotion through facial expression and movement are what the deaf community understands. If there's no emotion, how are they supposed to know the emotion the rest of us feel when we hear the "real" Amazing grace song? Knowing the motions is good, now just put some emotion into it. :) And you will have it hit!

So glad I came across this today while searching LO songs. Love it, and love that whole crew they are all growing up so fast! Wow! and can't wait to see what they come up with for next year. Come along way from toasters and drumsticks.

I understand that some interpretation is involved, but A) the audible words have been changed significantly from the original (to the point that it is not really the well-known song anymore), and B) many of the concepts from the audible words are simply not signed at all. ASL is fully capable of expressing anything, and it's not for lack of time.
