I love that you are speaking out against the archaic and long-term harmful spaying/neutering procedures and policies. There is a cult-like resistance to even discussing this topic -- let alone to implementing real change. I've also noticed a lack of willingness to consider the age and/or health of the individual animal when performing these surgeries, and young and/or sick or injured animals have been acutely harmed or have died as a result.
@@forecasthazye I really appreciate this response. It makes me feel less alone on the issue. 💜

If anyone sees this, I posted a video of her assisted hatch after this and described Hitori's progress. She is healthy and vigorous now at 3 weeks old!

I feel the need to explain that this turkey shattered her leg. It was broken in 3 places. She survived it after staying in a crate in my house for 6 weeks. I don't recommend letting turkeys lay eggs in your house lol. She refused to lay eggs in her crate so we always had to let her out for that.
I never updated this video. This poult didn't make it. She lost her ability to swallow. Wry neck is about 50/50 success rate. I tried really hard though.
