Celebrating The Queen's Platinum Jubilee in Newcastle
The Queen has celebrated her 70'th Jubilee for 4 days. We opted to go to Newcastle instead of London.
It was our first time and we enjoyed it. We stayed in a hotel in quayside which has a nice view of a river with different bridges at the background, one of which is the iconic landmark which is the millennium bridge.
Along the river, there are good restaurants such as Gino's, Hardrock Cafe etc if you go hungry. We also visited the Angel of the North which is believed to be the largest angel sculpture in the world. It's just 12-15 minutes from the city centre and near the motorway.

Edinbrugh is a beautiful city. We had a walk in Princess Street, their high street. We went also to Carlton Hill. The backdrop is beautiful and the city is vibrant!
Stop Over

On the way to Betsy-y- coed, we passed by a beautiful Lake by the roadside so we decided to stop Over and take pictured and videos. We also managed to climb the rock formation on the other side. The view was Amazing at the top!
Swallow Falls

Swallow Falls is located in Betsy-y-coed just few minutes drive from the village. Entrance to the falls is £2.00 but worth the view.

Betsy-y-coed is a quaint village in Snowdonia, North Wales. Nice place to visit for a day trip or as a base in climbing Snowdonia.
West Kirby Marine Lake and Hilbre Island

Beautiful place to go for a day out with the family. West kirby offers activities in marine lake like kayaking, parasailing, crabbing etc. There’s a Hilbre Island to visit with first isle, second isle and third isle. Just check first for the high/ low tide before going there. Plenty of cafes and restaurant to dine in or take out after your activities. Ice cream and lollies too in summertime time.
Visiting Johnnie Walker, Royal Yatch of Britannia etc

We managed to visit Johnnie Walker shop in Princess Street. Royal Yatch of Britannia shop but not the yatch itself as it was night time. The Obscura camera illusion is in Royal Mile. We only managed to take a picture outside as we run out of time.
Haggis and Fried Mars bar in a stick

A must try food in Edinburgh- haggis and deep fried battered Mars bar. Arcade serves the best haggis in town and Royal Mile Tavern for deep fried battered Mars bar. Tebay service is one of the best in UK. It serves freshly prepared hot food. It also have small shop for locally produced food- meat and vegetables as well as kitchen stuff and clothing.
Bus Ride in Edinburgh

Edinburgh is a nice place to stay. You can explore the city by foot, buses or tram. Bus ride is exciting and you can buy a day ticket at £3.80 or family ticket at £9.80 more or less.
A Walk To Ceunant Mwar Waterfalls

Ceunant Mwar waterfalls lies at the foot of Snowdonia Mountain in Llanberis Village. There are two ways to view it. First view at the top and the other one at the base. Both views are amazing. Llanberis is a beautiful village in North Wales. It has lake, falls, and the starting point going to Snowdonia Mountain. We had a day out and it was beautiful. Baumaris is a picturesque town in North Wales. It has a castle and beautiful sea view. We were able to visit Benllech Beach nearby but it was late in the afternoon and raining. The view was still amazing.

We had a day out in Caernarfon, North Wales. It has a walled market and the famous Caernarfon Castle. Due to limited time, we were not able to go inside the castle.
