2022 F150 5.0L - ProCharger truck at over 900whp. Oz Tuning testing the new ProCharger system.
ProCharger has released their 2021-2023 F150 5.0L system and Oz Tuning was thrilled to have been chosen to tune and test the very first kits.
From mild to wild, this kit is more than capable. We even pushed it with a 3.7" pulley just to see what it would do. Impressive!!! The results are in!
Mark Shearer at SP Machining Co was the second truck Oz Tuning tuned as shown in this video with this kit. Mike Tillman being the first truck, and also ProCharger's development truck. Mike's truck is featured on ProCharger's website for these kits. Both have been great with working with us and allowing us to get their trucks rolling and moving. Mark has been supporting and working with Oz for years and developed and manufacture the intake adapter plate kits needed for a 18+ GT or GT350 intake swap.
Both trucks are equipped with JD Solutions direct drop in fuel pumps capable of 1000whp, designed and manufactured by Jamie Decker which Oz helped to develop. JD pumps are trusted and dependable, and are made by hand using Ford OEM parts being thoroughly flow tested before shipping.
Thanks to ProCharger for entrusting us with testing a great product for more power in these new Gen4 F150's.

Can my sct livewire be used?
Not for the 2021-2023 trucks. The LiveWire's do not support them. You can only use the specifically programmed SCXT X4 7015PG-B model.
Interesting changes from the earlier kits, badass truck for sure, bet that is a blast to drive!
So what if I don't have 93 in my state and the highest octane I have available is 91?

Was the power gains more immediate with whipple compared to the procharger you did?
You said the GT was plug and play, are the 21+ F150s mass air? Or what did you do with the MAP sensor?

I’m being told by some idiot that with a GT intake manifold, you lose torque and dude swears up and down he’s right. I don’t know what kind of bum ass tune he’s using but it looks a whole lot to me that this truck gained roughly 20 ft lbs of torque and a bunch of top end hp compared to the stock tune and manifold. I just bought a Gen 3 GT manifold for my Gen 3 Coyote F150 and can’t wait for this. Glad to see hard evidence that the torque isn’t tanking.
Do we need to do this for 21+ trucks that are whipple supercharged and tuned through you guys using unlocked ecu and hp tuners mpvi 3?
We would highly recommend it even though we haven't seen an HPT truck affected yet.

Something to keep in mind, the amount of ethanol needed increases when mixed with 87 vs 93.
Where I live, 87 Octane is $3.15/gallon and 93 is $4.50 That's why I sometimes put in 33+ gallons of 87

They’re quick. I’ve seen stock 21+ reg cab hit a 12.79, they were in the 11s with just an intake swap/tune, no headers

I’d be curious to see how the Vortech kit compares. I love how Vortech mounted the head unit way down low and uses the shock air box… Rather than pulling hot air off the engine.
I've been eyeing the vortech kit for my 23.. ran them on my fox back in the say and had good results
Ken, can you do me a solid and post the graph showing the stock ported manifold vs. The ported GT manifold. I just picked up a new 23' and might be back in for tuning soon as the experience I had with you on my 13' was amazing. I'm just debating on using a stock ported manifold due to towing.
If I return my tune to stock and bring it to the dealership for warranty work will they be able to tell it was tuned before the stock tune was loaded back onto it?
Under the data tab on the dynojet software, there is a section in the top ribbon called "master filter enable" You can set a high and low RPM for the chart in there. To get a display more suited towards Internet consumption, you could have enabled the high RPM limit at 7300 or so. That would have removed that last section of the graph where the tach signal wiggled. Just trying to help, great video!
Interesting. I been looking at the ProCharger for my Gen1 Coyote truck. Ease of install, price and streetable gains. Plus i have a 18+ GT and Boss manifold on hand to swap if needed. Any input on the Gen1 pro charger?

Do I need to retune if going from stock to a cold air intake? How about if regearing?
For a CAI, only if you have a 11-14 truck and install a tune required intake like a JLT or PMAS, then yes you need a Re-tune. Also, you would need a Re-tune for regearing. Best to reach us directly by email for tune support or questions though if you have any more questions.
Do you need to buy a specific RTD device? Friend of mine has HP tuners and we use it on Chevy trucks, can that same one be used on the Ford F-150? 2013.

No, not for a daily. The IMRC's help with smooth idle, low part throttle, and can help retain fuel economy. Really no reason to delete them unless your shaving off weight or have forced induction.
Looking at getting the JD fuel system. I hear a lot of negative talk about a returnees style fuel system. Is there issues controlling fuel pressure or some other reason you hear negative things about this setup? it seems like an affordable and easy option to get passed the fuel limitations.
Zero issues controlling fuel pressure and the system will support more power than your stock engine will handle. Not to mention all the other benefits of not having to keep your fuel level at least half full, which you’ll have to do with a return style system that doesn’t have a fuel bucket, and the fact that flowing fuel to the engine bay 100% of the time heats the fuel considerably more than a returnless system which only sends fuel to the engine bay that will be used by the engine.

I don’t think they like to tune on the return less style. Would you be able to remotely tune my whipple and get it closer to the 750-800whp mark when I buy the this fuel system in the near future?
Ken, i did the jlt cai and the pcv valve hose had to be stretched to reach the intake tube, how did yalls look?
Cut the ends off the hard line and replace the hard line with a piece of fuel resistant hose.

Granetilli coils Mishimoto radiator . 170 degree thermostat. Spd downpipes with adapters. 4” Mbrp single side exhaust. 6r80 thermostat delete. Full-Race transmission cooler 20 row. 2.5L Snow Methanol injection with #8 nozzle. 5star & MPT tuning using MVIP-2 tuner. Your videos have been very helpful though out my journey. CRP- stage 4 with BD Diesel manifold. February, brings back the question I have? Will it be advantageous to install now before turbo upgrade??? Help My brother!!!

I was looking over your channel and website and maybe I missed it...but do you post dyno stats on your tunes? I have a 2020 F-150 5.0 and was curious how it would compare with this tune vs the 2022 you tested in this video? Another question...we have emissions testing in Virginia. Would this tune pass emissions? Or would I have to reload the stock tune in order to pass? I had to do that with my 5 Star tune on my 2004 F-150. No biggie but it would be nice to not have to do that. Thanks in advance for your information.
