Magnetic North: Governor William "Bill" Sheffield, Jr.
It's refreshing when you see the normal people who serve in the House of Representatives rather than the same 12 weirdos who grab the headlines.
This was great, you can't forget a name like hers.
Indigenous culture and practices are revealed in their carvings in a vivid and artistic way. It identifies the people in a spiritual, environmental connection to the land. In some cases as concerning my own people we had no written language, so it was expressed through song, dance and oratory. This is what one might say the visual aspect of how the people invisaged the spiritual side of life even after death. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video. Nuku noa, from New Zealand.
Beautiful Artwork! I would love to see it in person. They are such a lovely couple, God bless them both!
Pro-Fish, Pro-Choice, Pro-Labor
Again congratulations Mary
Peltola is based and I'm conservative
Alaska is so sad now that the Democrats lied again to umm.. have a fair election.
Not you denying an election
Finally Alaska has gotten rid of that ignorant baseball mum.
Antoher easy win because of ranked choice! we literally will win all the time as democrats because we own the blacks and natives and women. we just need to keep teling them they are unfairely treated and black or stupidly hopless because of all the whites! they are so gulible they will believe anything and we can keep them segregated like this for the next 200 years. we also need to tell them to kill their babies through abortions because there are to many blacks infecting the streets. We can easily win as democrats because we just say its a womans rights to have more sex without babies so they need to delete the kids. No more bablies helps clean up the streets of drunk homeless natives too. they should be vaxxed with the covid boosters to get them to die of breathing issues or something too. test new vaccines on them first. We love Petola because shes just going to do whatever Nancy Pelosi tells her... its going to be so easy to win in November too because of all the money we have for Lisa Merkouski our Democrat on the republican side to show that we cross the isle, and Mary Peltola who will easily follow whatever we want her to do. VOTE BLUE or you will be called a terrorist jan 6r and we will find you.
You have had that fleece since the Salmon were a plenty in the Strait.
Come on, your name is Finnish, pronounce it correctly (I also have Finnish Americans relatives who also pronounce their last name incorrectly sigh) accent is on the first syllable!
She got Peltola from her husband.
thank you Alaska for giving this American some hope that sanity in public service still has a chance. cheers!!!! and salmon!
DC doesn't care about Salmon so this woman better prepare for the worst before she gets there.
This is my first introduction to Mary and what stands out most to me is her honesty in being true to herself, her kindness, and her genuine compassion for others. You did well Alaska. Now let's make sure you extend her employment come this November.
Another Democrat who probably stole the election.
No she definitely didn't
Did this video have anything to do with Salmon? … 😂 Congrats on you’re win:)
Congratulations Mary Peltola
Good and great, she won the special election.
Go get’em, gal! Congrats!!!
She will serve The Last Frontier well in Congress!
She’s super pretty! Congrats on winning your election ma’am!💙
Congrats Alaska for voting an excellent rep for your beautiful state. Best wishes
This Alaska girl in Wasilla is voting for Mary in November. Alaska needs someone who cares about the working class.
What a brilliant and compassionate man . Kerry Luber
Great video- one of the worlds best carvers. He is a survivor of what America done to the natives in Alaska. His spirit is strong- onahey
This is so wonderful and so needed! Thank you Megan and AKHF for doing this work!
Thank you Arliss!
This is fabulous. I never met Clem, but I have an original by his wife, of an otter lying on its back, done in octopus ink.
Clem died today, at his home in Halibut Cove. RIP.
What about his danish heritage?

I met Clem in one of Adak's abandoned military installations in 2014. I was solo hiking across the island and Clem was giving his friends a tour. We met again days later in the airport, and he told me (what must be just a tiny portion of) his life's story, how he came back from WWII infected with malaria, marched aimlessly in the tundra with a rifle on his back, and eventually ended up in Halibut Cove. He said ravens were not the best of games since they were big but thin. I remain awe-stricken to this day. Best wishes, Steve from Canada
