​@@nikung0787 That's alright, I am too old to audition as well (trumpet). I also hope to do DCA someday, you could definitely do it! I think you are good enough of a musician to get a good scholarship to music school in America either for percussion performance or music education. That would help with financials. I am not sure what you are considering though.

@@Tetrahedr0l I only made it to the video audition. I got an email to do a next at America. I must to do an visa for entering the country, but I hadn't enough my finances to show it to the embassy. So I got a rejection into a America. Hope you understand my status.

Hey! Best thing you could do for left hand work, is to train to play at all different heights and velocities. Low and high heights with variance of velocities. Practice with different tempos with different heights and velocities. Basically train your left hand to be used at all levels.

So teach your hands all about control

unfortunately probably not, there are loads of better crown audition videos I've seen and none I've watched got a callback

Because they dont really have marching band anywhere but the US with some minor exceptions. Big props to this guy

there was a guy from Thailand on the cavies bassline for a few years, he even became section leader. marching band is actually quite big there but for ppl to cross the pacific and march in the US is a big financial undertaking so likely only the kids that come from relative wealth overseas can make it
