The Rabbit Room
United States
Приєднався 2 тра 2019
When author, singer, and songwriter, Andrew Peterson, visited the Oxford home of C. S. Lewis in 2006, he returned to Nashville with a conviction that community nourishes good and lasting artistic work-and that creative work nourishes community. Soon afterward, the Rabbit Room was born with the mission to create and curate stories, music, and works of art to nourish the life of Christ-centered communities for the life of the world.
In the years since its founding, the Rabbit Room has grown into a press, a theatre program, a beloved arts conference called Hutchmoot, a podcast network, an event space and community center called North Wind Manor, and more. Above all, however, the Rabbit Room is a vibrant community of creators, thinkers, writers, and art enthusiasts.
Our mission is to set a long table and pile it high with the very best of artistic fare. So come on in and find a seat. The feast is waiting and you are welcome.

Jacob Simmons is the Pastor of Hope Community Church in Birmingham, AL. He is also one of the founders of the Faraway Theater, an improv...

We will come to see t...
Jesus' Artistry of Doubt-Zach Eswine

Jesus tells stories in such a way we who doubt recognize our own troubling experiences and find surprising pathways to faith. In this lecture, Dr. Zack Eswine will walk us through a close reading of some of Christ's parables in order to draw our attention to the ways Jesus uses stories to give those who doubt hospitable language to find their way to deepening faith. Christmas Eve arrives in Victorian London, but the miserly old Ebenezer Scrooge isn’t having any of it. He’d prefer to support prisons rather than feed his own apprentice or celebrate the season. But he will be haunted by a parade of spirits before the sun comes up on Christmas Day, and in their wake, even the coldest heart may yet be changed. This new adaptation of Charles Dickens’ story is bo...

The Hospitality of Need | Kevan Chandler and Tommy Shelton
Переглядів 3286 місяців тому
A lecture from North Wind Manor on April 16 with Kevan Chandler and Tommy Shelton. We live in a world where need is often a burden, or to some an idol. But the Bible says we’re all weak, we all fall short, and it also calls us to serve one another. So, if we all have needs and we’re all supposed to put others first, how does that work? As I reflect on my own life experience and how God has desi...

The Hiding Place (2023): The Wrath of Men
I find the story you are sharing, compelling. For me, the background music is overused, distracting, and irritating.
Humbug.
I'm watching this Wednesday morning. Thank you for putting this out there.
Awesome
Hmmm. Is there a part two?
Please film this one so you can release it in theaters (or streaming) like The Hiding Place!
We'd LOVE to. Maybe some other year.
Beautiful trailer. Amazing work!
Will there be a livestream performance for those of us outside the States? Thanks.
This is a live performance only.
She can look straight at a donut and turn it down. Brilliant! There are some weird people out there...
I feel this very deeply. Discovered Mr. Peterson in college when we were encouraged to find writers who “fit our genre”…I have read and written fairly widely, but have never found myself in the right circle. Unbelievers usually say “oh, that’s a nice feel good piece” and believers say “why don’t you write something more religious (meaning devotionals)”. Mr. Peterson was the first author, who I discovered, that bridged the gap. From him, I’ve found many others through the Rabbit Room and also at Lorehaven and a great deep dive of research. I couldn’t be more proud of this little group of lamp holders and bridge keepers. Keep it up!!
Very good! /Sweden
insane amounts of talent here! Jac & Taylor, love you girls 🔥
"In every way that something can be taken in, God may be calling to you." I love that Sandra is open to hearing in so many ways/arts, and often in the making, that we find ourselves expressing something that we don't quite understand then - but later, it's important. So encouraged by her saying that C S Lewis had the picture of a faun carrying an umbrella and parcels aged 16 but yet did not write the book until in his 40s. Thank you for videoing this and making it available to people far away from North Wind Manor.
Wonderful! Love all your music!
I thought it was the fireplace from Tolkien's house in Bournemouth -- isn't it?
This was amazing! Thank you all so much for your music!
Love this!
HOPE for the world = Jesus through the Holy Spirit working so that "If all the Bibles in the world vanished tomorrow, I believe that the collective memory of all living Christians could piece the whole thing back together word for word." How I love that thought.
I am an addict, in recovery. My sister-in-law printed this prayer for me. This is the most beautiful prayer ive ever prayed or ever heard.
In love with Skye!!! Ahhhhhh
Beautiful, thank you.
I would be interested to hear Mr. Fellows talk more about how to balance the "gift economy" with a Biblical understanding of work. Though we are taught to ask God for our daily bread, we are also taught that if a man shall not work, he shall not eat. And as far back as Eden, God has given man tasks to perform. Would Mr. Fellows say work is merely another gift given to us to "pass it forward" in the gift economy way of thinking or is there also something true and right about the idea of earning what we eat?
Well, if this isn't exactly what I needed in this season of life. To be reminded of the hope. To believe the king had loved me all along. Thanks again, Andrew.
That part were he says that if we see or try to see our pain thru God's eyes than we keep the enemy at bay really needed that right now it's a huge encouragement for me with my eyes so thank you Andrew Peterson for letting God use you and I got saved listening to you're song called the good confession so again thank you
What a fantastic blend of generations! One of the best local shows I've seen. So glad these are on UA-cam.
This was extremely profound. Thank you. God bless you.
Holy homesick homie Only thou art lonely Grief strong in your heart Relief streams long to me Chief wrong was lying Our part with you was dying Yearning? I’m earning the distance that I made
Just received my copy today (Vol 1) and I was so moved. I want to order several copies as 🎁 gifts. Such a stunning, beautiful 📖 book! Thank you to author and artist as well as Rabbit Room Press!
It's always good to see Andrew. His music has influenced me in so many ways and I'm extremely thankful for how the Lord has used him. As a 15 year-old who wants to write songs, he like the best example.
Father Abraham - one of my favs! Blessings!
Watching Andrew and Eric during Clear to Venus was amazing! I'm 22 years old and have listened to AP and Eric Peters for as long as I can remember. Was glad Don't Hold Your Breath was pulled out by Eric too!
Has it started yet and where?
I can't find it either

❤❤❤❤ This is so beautiful !!! I wish there was a Rabbit Room here in Santa Marta, Colombia 🇨🇴 All four singers are spectacular, heart touching💞 the mission of Rabbit Room is amazing!!!
Andrew, there aren't words strong enough to thank you for Adorning the Dark. For me, in the context of my story, it's easily one of the four most important books I've read to date. You even addressed it to me, right there on page 44! You lent your words to my soul, formulating and answering questions I didn't know I had--even from the MacDonald quote in the preface. And now after a few decades of my musical journey looking like the old 'Footprints' poem (truly had no idea how much I was being spared from), at age 48 He's inviting me to try my feet again. It's terrifying and intensely vulnerable, but lines, lyrics & hooks are now spewing out like....well....nevermind. I eagerly hope to meet you someday. Drinks on me if you're ever in the Denver area. Seriously....thank you.
I love these shows! So bummed that so much of this one is choppy and unwatchable. Any chance that a local recording was made that could be uploaded? (BTW, the title of this video is wrong too.) Don't want to be a whiner but would love to be able to see these performances.

Thank you for posting this beautiful prayer. As one who's on the stage often, this hit deep. Thank you. I'll be picking up a copy of the book.
Thank you for this wonderful lecture!!!
Thanks so much. I wept through the whole thing. Pets are so unconditional in their love.
Thank you, Andy!

So delighted you’re doing these- please “keep them coming”! ❤
The audio has the hiccups! :(
I love this. I have a print of this liturgy in my harp studio.
Thank you! A year ago we suffered the stillbirth of our little girl, Hannah Lynn, at 39 weeks. The peace of the Lord was so potent and present during this time. We discovered a community that extended farther than we could imagine and we were blown away by the way the Lord provided for us during the time. I wrote through it, poetry and other ponderings on the experience (still doing some of that writing), and I am still blessed by the goodness of the Lord in the time of our heartbreak. I certainly went to this liturgy a few times as well. So, thank you again for taking the time to read it.
I've been a huge fan of Brooke Waggoner since her first EP. Found her on Purevolume back in the day by using their new search tab for local artists. Searched Nashville where I've grown up, and instantly fell in love with her music. I've yet to see her live. I wish so bad I had known about this.
