I love how retro the combination of the Pilot Heritage and the Smoky Quartz ink looks. The specialty nibs seem super interesting! Especially the Naginata - it's like having 3 nibs in 1.
@@ruonpaper ohh, I didnt even think about the retro feeling, but when you mention it it does make sense! And here I am, about to clean the Opus 88 and the Pilot CH91 today even before I write them dry but I am now having doubts xD The Naginata is amazing, I can totally recommend it!
I have thought about getting that CY Naginata nib from Stilo&Stile… now it‘s a really big contender for my next order with them. 😊 Thanks for sharing !

The colorverse green is lovely subtle. I like the FWP aurorealis the most, purplish. Like the scabiosa you gave me a sample of. The depth and intricate colour makes it special to me. Good to see/hear you again
Thank you!! 🥰 I was cleaning the pen with Aurorealis yesterday and I'm quite surprised it is rather easy to clean. My converter looks slightly pink xD....

Congrats on hitting 100! Though it looks like you are at 117 now. I'm liking the look of that N7. How does the grip compare to your other pens?
Thank you Shauna! The grip of the N7 is rather small! Maybe the diameter is more or less like the Kaweco Sport? But the section is longer, and of course with a way longer nib too. I am not sure if it is comfortable for long writing session. It does look super cute though :D

Congrats! 🎉 Nice lineup… I have a very green ink in my TWSBI D580 RBT at the moment … it‘s DeAtramentis Maiglöckchen. Love the contrast. Before I had Herbin Rouge Opéra in it which was a great combo as well. Thanks for sharing! :)
Thank you Heide! :) DeAtramentis Maiglöckchen looks very calming! I had Diamine Apple Glory last month in this pen, very very bright green 😂 Laban Aphrodite Pink before that, which is more muted than Rouge Opera, then Iroshizuku Murasaki Shikibu few months back. Now I kinda want to try Rouge Opera, thanks for bringing this ink to my attention :) It's always surprising me how well the blue and red of this pen can "match" with many colors.

Hi, we might have passed each other at some point :) The Birmingham Pen Company ink I got from someone who attended, and not from any of the vendors. As far as I know it is not possible to get it easily in Europe yet...

Hello Fi! Thank you for making these videos! I have never tried a fountain pen myself but you make it look very fun! Do you think that i would enjoy using one to write letters to pen pals? Is it comfortable to use these pens to write multiple pages? if I wanted to try one to see if I like it, where should I start? I don't want to buy something that is very cheap and doesn't give me a good experience, but I also don't want to invest a lot of money if I end up not liking it. What are your thoughts? Al
Hi Al! Enjoy using a fountain pen to write letters to pen pals? Definitely! It's less tiring because unlike ballpoints, you don't need to press hard when writing using fountain pen. I can definitely write letters for pages using my fountain pens and can write longer compared to ballpoints. For a start I can recommend two quality products, both by Japanese companies. You can choose that speaks to you more! - Platinum Preppy (~5 USD) --> this was my very first fountain pen ever! It's the best bang of the buck, and very reliable. The style is similar to ballpoint. I'd recommend a Fine (precise lines) or Medium nib (smoother). - Pilot Kakuno (~12 USD) --> adorable pen with a quality nib. Looking at the design of the nib will make your day! Comes in many color body. Pretty sure they both are sold in Maido, Kinokuniya, if you want to try it in person. Otherwise, you can find it online everywhere too. These two are relatively lightweight. If you prefer heavier body pen, I will need to think a bit more XD Hope to see you use fountain pens :D

Yeah!! I'm quite surprised Sugar Rush isn't as 'dark' as the online swatch. Still a pretty color, nonetheless!
I completely forgot to look for that Sugar Rush ink at the show! It looks a little like Pennonia Candy Floss through the screen. I like that green in your TWSBI!
The Sugar Rush is available online if you feel like picking the ink up :D Or samples... 🙈 Agree about the green :D
The bright green ink in the TWSBI D580 RBT is so cool ! I have a red ink (Herbin Rouge Opéra) in mine which seems so boring now… 😂 I don‘t have Apple Glory, but might try Robert Oster Citrus, Pennonia Nettle or Private Reserve Spearmint. Thanks for sharing ! 😊

Wow, this is a bright beautiful Leonardo :) It's like a mix between fuchsia and magenta with lovely lighter shades of pink in the cracked ice. Very nice first Leonardo ^_^ I hope you enjoy it a lot!! It must feel so smooth to write with that architect nib! :)

Hi Lily! So far I had only filled the 823 once and it was okay and easy. It will be interesting once I clean it, which is anytime soon 😂 (and my habit to ¼ or ⅓ fill all the time to switch ink often ha ha). Thanks for watching 🥰

It is wet enough, and have slight feedback that makes it comfy to write on paper. Line width is perfect, it is similar to my other Steel nibs. While the #5 pilot nib on my Pilot CH91 feels too small now, this #15 is just right! Think I will have more to say once I have used it even longer ☺️

I didnt like green (before fountain pens). Now? I loved it too much in ink?! Hahaha it is cute that we have some same pens that say hi to each other ♥️ my Kakuno Girl says hi to yours back! In fact, I didnt ink this pen for half year before this! I am glad to pick it up again :D

I love this!!! That blue is very happy you are right!! I’ve always wanted to try amber de Birmanie! Do you find that the jinhao 80 dries out? I kept thinking my ink would hard start and get a lot darker over time in that pen but I am curious if others have had the same experience.
Yes!! Happy blue!! :D These past few days I feel like Ambre de Birmanie takes a super long time to dry >.> I will clean the pen tomorrow, because I am too annoyed by it xD Hm... The only time I had ever had my Jinhao 80 hard start was when I had Robert Oster shake n shimmy Sterling Silver because the shimmer clogged the pen. Which nib do you have in it? I remembered the ink of my Rohrer&Klingner Scabiosa got darker! Back then I still used the original F nib. Although good to mention that I use all of my inked pens almost every day thus why normally I dont get hard starts.
@@FitheInkDragon booo for the ink taking too long to dry! I hate that! I just have the EF jinhao nib in it, maybe if I swap it out for a lamy nib it will be better. I thought it was maybe because the cap didn’t seal properly 🤔

My TWSBI 580 RBT says hi to yours back :D The Akkerman inks that I tried so far are all wet! The bottle is unique too. But the bottle is too big for an ink dragon like me who loves trying and switching her different ink 😂 Thank you for watching Lily ❤
