RoadsideTavern

In the old days, this quaint gastro-pub used to be a bakery, a butter market as well as a pub. Today, it is as vibrant as it was in 1865, when it first opened its doors. This is where locals and explorers of the area meet for pints fresh from the BURREN BREWERY and enjoy the Burren Gold (Lager), Burren Red (Ale) and Burren Black (Stout) which can only be got on the premises. Master brewer and publican Peter Curtin has been creating his magic brews on the premises since 2011, and he is doing his best to meet the growing demand. The Gruit beer "Euphoria" - made from wild yeast and local foraged herbs, no hops - has to be unique in the world!
The Roadside Tavern is well known for its MUSIC. Burren Brewery at the Roadside Tavern
One of the only three craft breweries in Ireland that were mentioned in the Lonely Planet Global Beer Guide - the Burren Brewery at the Roadside Tavern in Lisdoonvarna, County Clare, Ireland.
Established in 2011 by master brewer Peter Curtin, the craft beers have gathered a wide followership among (beer) tourists and locals alike. The Burren Gold (lager), Burren Red (ale) and Burren Black (stout) are full of character that commercially produced beers usually lack.
A few years back, Peter decided to experiment and create a beer that was brewed in this certain way in Ireland ages ago, before the method went out of fashion. He gathered wild yeast in a special place in the Burren over five days. This yeast then was used to brew beer without hops! A local herbalist foraged for suitable herbs, and the "Euphoria" gruit or grut beer was born.

Anyone got names for the first set of jigs?
I think the first two are Finbar Dwyer's Favourite and Paddy Keenan's, don't know the third one I'm afraid.
Third jig is Patsy Geary's, I think.
The second tune is a banger.

Fabulous session. Cyril is well known, a masterful musician. And this is my first introduction to Sarah Clarke. She is also remarkably talented and I look forward to hearing her & Cyril in future sessions, either on UA-cam or in Doolin or the Burren. What a pleasure to hear them from the other side of the pond.
