I agree! Keep it up! Looks difficult but you are killing it! 🥳🥳
That is looking so good I can't wait to see the rest!
@ChaceyMayes-tv9st thanks I’m already struggling so we will see how it goes haha

The cat is adorable! ❤
Film major here, For anyone who is wondering what blocking is it’s basically planning out how the video/scene will look. People do this by actor placement, rehearsing the scene/playing it out, and more. (Ps sorry if this doesn’t make sense I’m bad at explaining things)
as someone who knows nothing about film, that’s probably right, but she’s talking about something to do with her sweater she made i think lmao
friend, she is referring to blocking in the fiber arts community which is typically like steaming your piece or pinning it down
idk if this was intentional or not but this is so funny to me. love it
Thank you for this tutorial! Really makes a difference! 🥳🥳
I liked the befire better. Too stretched out for me, it'd drive me crazy hanging off
Yeah I agree it’s a bit too stretched out for my preference too!
What’s blocking?
Fr like what is it
Idk
@ yep we don’t either
same
basically it’s when you crochet/knit something and you soak it in warm water and it makes it shaped better
Hey ! Can you give some tips for blocking. I just finished a project and was looking up ways to block
@@writerclubs hey! Run some warm water in a clean tub or sink and put a little bit of laundry detergent in, let your piece soak for like 15 minutes and lay it out on a few towels to dry! You can use pins to hold your piece in place for a clean look! I hope this helps! :)
@@coolkidsknit Thank you ❤❤❤
Blocking is so crucial! Love the cardy 🥳🥳
Oooooh your cats are fiesty
Aww your son will love that! So cute!
@@chalmermcwilliams6416 thank you!
Woah had no idea all these celebs knitted! Seems like a very Paul Rudd thing to do 😂
Continental. It makes me go faster.
I learned English knitting from my mom when I l was little ( 10-12) - years later when I picked it up again (25 or so) I decided to learn continental and I’ve used this technique ever since and I love it- ❤
😂😂😂😂😂
I need that too! Your bread looks amazing
Who knew knitting had a nationality. Hilarious 🤣
Continental. Faster and better tension❤...
My grandma taught me English knitting. But I think since I've been crocheting for a while, I might switch to Continental.
Love the bread cover! So cute! Love all the things you make
Continental is easyer to hold and faster
Cannot get the hang of continental. Probably because I learned to crochet first.
IMO, the more appropriate question would be “which one were you taught”. I come from Romania and we were taught in school mixed continental, while the boys were doing traforaj (fretwork I think).
I can only see to manage continental stitching left but not right 🤷🏻
I learned to crochet first, so continental feels much more natural to me!
This is so helpful i never knew the name of continental. Now i can look up videos that suit my style
I’m trying to learn continental after only knowing English for years. My brain just does not like it
I do both depending on what I'm doing. I tend to English
I learned English first then continental. I ended with continental picking because I am twice as fast and it’s easier to do colorwork now with both hands.
English knitter, I can crochet but I can’t seem to merge the two into continental
I tried continental but my stitches look sloppy and my tension is horrible;way too loose. And my arms hurt more than they do when I’m knitting english style.
Coming from 20 years of crocheting, I found continental easier to pick up, but I like the look of English better. So I’m trying to learn
Continental forever. Efficiency is my love language.
Your english knitting looks like someone’s first attempt at knitting in general…I knit english and am no where near this slow 🙄
English knitter. I wrap it around my pinky and index finger for good tension throughout
Norwegian style
Thanks for the tip! Your videos help me a lot 🥳🥳
I love that color! ❤
Have I just been doing all perl? usually I yarn over pull through from beside the loop that I pull through
Continental looks so much easier! I do English and am always frustrated my speed never really seems to increase/has plateaued, because I have to drop the needle each time; this looks much better
I want to knit continental but I learned the English way at like 4 years old and I can’t make my hands switch!
I never realized it was going either way but I know how to do both
There’s also “Irish cottage knit” or “Lever knit” which looks like English in some ways but uses an economy of motion and a flicking action instead. The winner of fastest knitters awards tend to go to lever knit. That said, it’s a little tricky on the pearl. I’m honestly not sure why more people don’t use it.
Ok, now I’m going to have to look into that technique! I’ve tried continental but my tension gets too crazy.
Depends on what I'm doing. Certain cast-ons are really best achieved with rhe continental method....or if I'm stranding a few colors as well. Otherwise, I throw for everything else because it's easier on my wrists.
I learned to (barely) knit before I crocheted but I know almost nothing about knitting. But I think i would like continental better for me because it’s similar to how I hold my yarn for crochet :))
I accidentally learnt continental because English was so slow i wanted to go faster. It is definitely so much faster, easier to switch to if u already have basic crochet skill too
I’m a thrower unless doing Colorwork
English just cause that’s how I learned
As a crocheter first, I prefer continental... But if I have the choice, I'd rather just crochet lol
