The museum, privately curated and maintained, is truly a feast for the eyes, housing hundreds of masks and puppets, each telling a unique story from different eras and regions. We spent the first half of our visit wandering through several buildings, marveling at the artistry and history. Midway through our tour, one of the knowledgeable curators joined us, providing insights into the cultural significance and origins of the pieces we encountered.
From intricate masks representing mystical characters to puppets with centuries-old craftsmanship, every item offered a window into Indonesia’s cultural heritage.
