I prewash flannel but not new cotton fabric...I also prewash any fabric I get at a yard sale or thrift shop...always use color catchers...just to be safe
⭐
It's a beautiful quilt. So, nearly a year later, did you end up doing anything with it?
Not yet, but I think it may become a tote or small duffle bag.
❤
I don’t prewash
thx
Thanks for watching!
Since I was 8 years old and I’m now 56.
Fantastic!
I love the colors you chose, very pretty. Thank you for the free pattern, I'm planning this as my next quilt.
Thanks, I hope you love making it! It fast, fun, and easy. I have a "spring" color version on my quilt machine right now.
And I thought I was doing enough 2025 sew alongs, LOL! I love your design, and colors! Thank you for sharing!! So much fun!
I have a feeling you'll be able to handle this one - it's a really fast sew! Thanks for watching.
❤❤❤😊
Thanks for watching!
Why not use the no-waste 4-at-a-time flying geese method?
Great question... I've tried the 4-at-a-time FG and just didn't like making them that way. I love these little "bonus" pieces and plan on making a video about what to do with bonus HSTs. You can certainly make FG by your favorite method - you'll just have to adjust the sizes of your starting pieces. Thanks for watching!
lovely! so generous. bless!!
Thank you! 😊
this is a beautiful quilt! what size are the blocks please?
Thank you! The blocks are 8" finished. Thanks for watching.
Im excited about this looking at the blocks i believe that i will be able to use my accuquilt and the 8 inch qube to cut the pieces for this project. Trying to still quilt with a torn rotator.
Let me know if it works using the Accuquilt. Wishing you a speedy recovery - and thanks for watching!
Thank you for mentioning this!
Love the colors and thanks for the leader HSTs idea
You're welcome. Thanks for watching!
What a fun project! Looking forward to seeing it come together!
Thanks! And thanks for watching. It's going to be fun!
Fascinating!
Thanks! It was a fun quilt to make.
Love the simplicity of this. ❤
Thanks! I have a "spring" version coming out soon.
Looking forward to this!
So glad! Thanks for watching.
huge like. tnx!
Thanks for watching! Hope you join along.
Thank you, I love this!
You're welcome - thanks for watching! I hope it brightens up your winter, too.
You are so very generous. I'm hoping I get the time to join
I hope you get to join in too! It's going to be a fun one. The videos will be here for you when you're ready to join.
@stacycreatesstuff you're so sweet and again, very generous. Going to use scraps. Of course it's not going to be gorgeous but I will love it anyway
It will look great in scraps!
Wow that's a beautiful quilt, and some super tips thankyou from Queensland Australia ❤
Thank you and thanks for tuning in from the other side of the world!
It is gorgeous.
Thank you so much and thanks for watching!
What a year! You were certainly busy making so many beautiful projects!
It's been a fun year to experiment with different projects - and I'm glad we got to collaborate on Jolly in July!
Lovely. And beautiful fabrics.
Thanks! The fabric choices were really fun for these projects. Thanks for watching!
Gorgeous
Thank you so much! It was really fun to make.
Hi my name is Stacy also & I do so many things - I have a Gammil Statler stitcher, yep quilting sewing handbags, just about anything with fabric EXCEPT cloths, I do GourdArt, Stained Glass, brooms for corn-broom straw, candle making, rope/clothesline projects, I say if it’s ARTSY FARTSY I’LL GIVE A TRY. If you want send me a message we can chat.
Hi Stacy! I can't wait to get my Gammill Statler up and running. Such fun crafts you do - I've not tried most of those. I generally stick with fiber arts these days (not that I don't want to do ALL THE CRAFTS!). Thanks for stopping by my channel!
That is so beautiful. I plan on making this quilt this year. I just love it. Your tutorial was a great help. Thank you. 💕
Thank you for watching! Enjoy making it - it's worth the effort!
Great organization and easy to follow tute. So gorgeous, thank you.
I'm so glad you found it helpful! Thanks for watching
Gorgeous!!! As a beginner quilter this may be on my list…….after I hone my skills. 😉😂
You got this! It's a fun one to make 😊 Make a few practice berries and leaves - you'll see it's not that hard (other than the pieces are small!)
Thank you, love your instructions.
You're welcome! Glad you found them helpful.
Bonjour madame. Je découvre votre belle courtepointe couronnes ! Une merveille. Bravo pour ce beau travail 🏵️Régine. 👸
Thank you!
Beautiful quilt
Thanks! I love how it turned out too!
Love Vintage Pink and Green in Snow Hill! I try to stop in every time that I go to the shore! I will look for your ornaments kit next time that I am there! Have a wonderful day!
It's a great shop! Thanks for watching and maybe I'll see you next time you stop in the shop.
So busy Stacy
I have a fat eighth bundle. Is this enough to make this quilt? I am desperate to make it. It is beautiful
Unfortunately, a fat eighth bundle will not be enough to make the quilt. It takes 5/8 a yard of each of the 12 main fabrics (ribbons). The corners take anywhere from 3/8 to 1-3/8 yard each. I'm always on the lookout for another collection that will work well with the pattern!
@ if I bought another fat 8th bundle would that do? Sorry, my math is awful
No. You will need much more. This makes a twin size quilt (72" x 84"). It would be best to get the yardarge needed rather than buundles because you will have less waste of fabric. The fabric requirements are listed in my listing for the pattern on Etsy (as a photo) stacycreatesstuff.etsy.com/listing/1792633401/
Where did you get the sandpaper board?
I got mine for my local quilt shop, and you can also get similar one on Amazon: amzn.to/3UjMd9F
Lol, I never think to look on Amazon for quilting supplies. Thank you.
Great tutorial. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching
I used to always prewash, now not so much unless I think it will bleed.
I love this block! TFS
Thanks so much!
So pretty! Thanks.
Thank you! 😊
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
🌟The pattern for Ribbon Weave is now available in my Etsy shop! 🌟 Digital copy: stacycreatesstuff.etsy.com/listing/1792633401/ Physical copy: stacycreatesstuff.etsy.com/listing/1791768399/
Great
Thanks for watching!
I'm glad there are others like me! I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start one of my quilting projects❤, I say this everyday ? Good luck. The way you say this it sounds like you have started are beautiful.
You can do it! I've not made much of a dent in my unfinished pile, BUT I've started and FINISHED a bunch of quilts - check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/VRSxwLqAa4E/v-deo.html
This was a great pattern!
Awww, thanks! I have a more intricate version on my Patreon for quilt level members: www.patreon.com/StacyCreatesStuff
Hi Stacey, Could this be made with 3 strip's of 2 and a half inch to make the 6 and a half inch to match the large blocks.
Yes, that would work. It changes the proportions a bit, but should still make a lovely quilt!
You are a very good instructor. They are so cute!!
You are so kind. Thank you so much!
