My motherboard temps are always 10c degrees lower than CPU. As long as you have fans running, your motherboard should be safe from the heat both your CPU and GPU generate.

I actually use this for programming work. At first you will miss the arrow keys quite a bit but that goes away after months of use.

Yeah, the bracket is of good quality. It's tight and has no wobbling whatsoever when installed. It's been almost a year since I've installed it and the my computer temps have largely remained in their usual range, meaning the pressure and contact has been constant since installation.

It has thermal paste, and yes you can install the cooler as long as you have the backplate already installed before you installed the motherboard into the case.
