Everyone knows I am a straight shooter but no I would not tell them! Most likely they already know and as a health professional there are a zillion reasons why they may have bad breath or some other odor! So many disorders, diseases, viruses etc could be going on. If they ask me something like hey do I smell or something then that’s a completely different story! Also side note I have a couple friends who don’t smell so fresh for cultural reasons such as they don’t believe in deodorant is it my preference? No, but it is not going to hinder my bond and general opinion on them!

I will tell my friend because I love her and wouldn’t want her out here smelling crazy. It was the right thing to do.
