Except EVERYTHING about this is wrong. I am a USAG and former Cheer Limited certified Judge. You are demonstrating biomechanics that will teach the back handspring quicker, but will greatly inhibit all skill progression beyond that. That makes it literally counterproductive. A correct back handspring should travel nearly TWICE her body length. Her knees should remain directly above her ankles and her shoulders directly above her hips. And, this technique that you are teaching will greatly increase her risk of injury. It hyperextends her wrist, increasing the tension/pressure on her wrists. You are literally harming her.
