A blend of many different things that happen at the Village.
The Scarecrow
This is a dramatic telling from Renee Ebert's of "The Scarecrow" written by Beth Ferry. Every year we feature a story for the kids, parents, and teachers who visit every October for their fall field trip adventure. We do a dramatic telling of the story and illustrate the book through a series of scenes that the guests can walk through.

Every year we get to go on a field trip to Ball Seed. They are one of the major suppliers of flowers that we grow every year. Seeing the new introductions and combinations of plants in beds and containers is so much fun.

It is a fun experience for young learners that encourages them to love books and reading. @ebertsgreenhousevillage 👍 If you enjoyed the video, please give it a thumbs up ...

Pictures and video are insufficient to show the beauty this time of year; however, we hope that the mix of flowerbeds, water features, and potted plants will inspire you in your own gardens and to stop by for a visit. @ebertsgreenhousevillage

Everything looks stunning. I bought some beautiful Proven Winners varieties from you this season and look forward to their new releases for next season. So happy to see the continued improvements throughout the village. Thank. you
Como falar com vcs. Por face time ?
Everything looks great. Will you be carrying any of the new supertunia vista variety from Proven Winners this year. I bought a flat of the jazz berry last year and it turned out wonderful.
Thanks! Yes, we probably have all of them. We do have jazzleberry and others. Is it just the j.b. that you're looking for?
@@ebertsgreenhousevillage Oh good. Yes I will be getting the jazz berry again, plus the fuchsia, silverberry and bubblegum variety. Im also interested in the supertunia mini vista, white and yellow. And the new surefire begonia called cherry cordial. Its spectacular and goes in sun or shade. I do a mass planting under our oak tree and always so pretty. These varieties are all proven winner plants Thank you.
It's almost planting time here in Virginia beach va

It's so beautiful there! Really great work!
Thank you so much! We're glad you enjoyed it! :)
Everything looks wonderful. I love all the blooming seasons. Spring thru fall. Do you stake your hydrangeas? Mine seem to start flopping when the August rain comes
Thank you so much! We love all the seasons too! We usually don't stake the hydrangeas, though for annabelles and incrediballs, it would probably be a good idea. Some floppiness is inevitable when the flowers are in full bloom and get rained on. For most sun hydrangeas such as vanilla strawberry, limelight, pinky winky, etc., if they are established (3+ years), are in full sun, proper nutrition, and pruned in a timely fashion, they hold up remarkably well. Some of the smaller ones such as Bobo, don't seem to flop at all.
Wow beautiful flower and relaxing . Thank for sharing my friend.
Thank you so much for watching! We love what we do here!
Looks stunning
Keep up the great videos. Really appreciate seeing all the beauty

Wow.... super.
My petunias get cutworms no matter what I do!! I’ve tried bt, diatomaceous earth,… Does anyone have any suggestions?
they are budworms if you have them in a container....change ALL soil...start over :( they hide during the day, come out at dusk.

Nothing brightens a gloomy day better than all these lovely plants!
Great video showing the crews at work.
Thank you for sharing your busy progress. I LOVE how you are one season (almost) ahead of everyone else! Judy
Such fun to see thank you!!!
Oh man I just planted the wave in a container... should I remove them
Oh leave them in! I plant waves in my hanging planters and pots and they do fine. I normally always dead-head my petunias and cut them back a bit so it triggers more bushy growth.
Do the other two need trimming also? Or just Wave?
I think they do need deadheading, cos if they stop they go to seed, hence no flowers, I have had them from the garden centers where people who know nothing about plants work, and get them highly reduced cos all they need is deadheading
Yes they Most Definitely need to be dead headed!!!! This young lad doesn’t know what he’s talking about!!!
We do very little to no deadheading of our petunias. The key is keeping your rates of fertilizer up all season so they keep pushing new flowers. This also keeps the leaves deep green and the centers of hanging baskets from browning out.
I didn't have to deadhead my supertunia once last year. Just gave them a weekly liquid fertilizer.
thank u
