Is English your native language?
Yep :)
I wanna study Russian next year at some point, but now I'm scared 🤣💀
I met you on Mr. Salas' channel, I was amazed of your Spanish level, that inspired me to keep up with my English journey, so thanks for that. And btw, the event that Ibai made last year reached 3.5 million people, it was crazy!
I've been doing crossfit for the last 3 years, i don't workout to compete professionally, but i like lifting up a lot weight, that's the reason why i am always starving xD and for what i heard, you going great, keep it up like that, Ben 💪🏽
i didn't know you have your own channel, i am already subscribed! esto se va a poner buenooo! 😎
Looking for inspiration for input for endangered Indigenous languages. I like how u wrote this. Very cool. Thanks
❤❤❤❤
I really like that kind of melancholic vibe of the podcast. Keep it up!
"in and of itself" holy moly, what a phrase!
I like it a lot, for some reason
Wasteful is an appropriate word. There are so many things that are wasteful these days except war when it comes to people's activities.
Jerky stores is a very interesting idea. Never heard of it before.
The podcasts about the food are excellent! There are so many dishes, I've never heard of.
Oh it’s the Refold guy
That's my evil twin, actually. I hate that guy 😠
Hi! You said "... we have some tokens from small quests we filled out ...". To fill out means to complete, right?
Yep! It means to complete, but can also mean "to look good in clothes" (typically used for people who are beefy/busty) 😂😂
Good point! We use our mother tongue nearly unconsciously, but when it comes to a foreign language we're trying to word, to formulate things rather consciously.
The first thing that comes to mind when I think about layers is Photoshop layers. I don't know why; I'm even not a designer.
I really like this podcasts, just if you could make it as audio in your website ! Thank you 😊
I decided not to do that since it was a lot more work for little gain. You can easily download the audio with a site like: y2mate.kim/
@@benadamslanguages ok thank you !
Thank you !
❤❤
Thank you , great job !
Thanks a lot!
Thanks a lot!
Chicago deep dish pizza looks amazing and delicious. It's pity I can't taste one in my city. I definitely need to try cooking it on my own though.
I'm very impressed with your ability to speak about pots, windows, chapsticks, etc. 10 minutes and more. You're a natural podcaster!
Thanks for the interesting view about cars' windows; I'm off to watch car glass breaking videos.

Ohhh je suis tellement ravie de vous voir , j'étais sur titkok et j'ai remarqué que ca fait bien longtemps que tu n'as pas pu lie des vidéos, maintenant je suis rassurée 😊

Ngl, your pronunciation of "syllabic" is interesting! 6:40 -- love these videos that touch on the parts of the phonology that might be hard to notice sometimes!
I saw names like Daisy and Rose (it's funny that we have the same name "Розa" in Russian), but I wonder if there are other names named after flowers. I know in the US you don't bother too much about names and you can give almost any name to a person, but I can't recall other flowery names, possibly because I don't know many flowers.
Thanks for the detailed explanation
I heard somewhere that the term podcast stems from iPods; I think they were very popular before smartphones' invention; maybe this is not true.
Clever idea to teach English. Nice job!
I have no idea what to say about this topic, but I wanna say thank you for your videos, because I feel my listening is getting better (or maybe I can understand you better, because I got used to your voice after hundreds of videos). Anyway thanks for tour to your culture.
The language in the newspapers or in the bulletins is very tricky, looks like whole another language, so many unknown words.
I think it's designed such way. I see the more formal the document (or any written letters) is, the more "fancy words" will be. Also spoken language by entrants are rather casual as in foreign tongue.
It was beautiful book
That was really unexpected to listen about Star Wars in episode with this title. Never thought "may the force" and "May the 4th" sound alike, because I haven't watched movies in original language yet. Да пребудет с тобой сила!
They're good! I def recommend them :)
❤❤❤
Cool video.
Glad you enjoyed it

You'd absolutely kill it if you played Disco Elysium at some point.
I've heard of that game, but I know NOTHING about it! Maybe I'll look into playing it in the future 👀
@@benadamslanguages It's the best written game I've ever played, and it's best to go into it blind as to not spoil anything.
If a daily nap doesn't decrease the quality of your main sleep, i.e. it doesn't make it harder to fall asleep and, more importantly, stay asleep without waking up in the middle of the night, then it's fine, but it's not true for all people living in an environment with electric lighting. A daily nap will decrease the concentration of adenosine in your brain, and if the concentration is too low, sleeping can be harder, and the quality of sleep seems to be important for your health. The overall duration of sleep is also not something to be played too much with: for example, in countries with Daylight Savings Time, there is a 24% increase in heart attacks in the spring the day after people lose one hour of sleep and a 21% decrease in the fall when people gain one hour of sleep.
Thanks for new lesson
Amazing, keep going bro!
Fluent in english, got this video randomly by the mighty algorithm. I find I like your style. Not sure how well it helps those still learning. I have been fluent for so long, I might as well be considered a native speaker, so I can't get the correct perspective on that. Anyways, good luck with this series.
Someone else commented something similar 😂 The algorithm is like, "This person has been watching English videos for literal years, but they're not native. How about some English learning content! They'll love that!" I have something similar on my Spanish UA-cam account. Every few weeks it's like, "So, you finally wanna learn English now??" One of the reasons I started this channel is because I wanted to find a good, repeatable process to make the kinds of videos I wanted (or want) for my language learning. If you're curious about the language learning process and why these videos are so helpful, I make much more complicated, language learning videos on the @Refold channel! Thanks for your comment :)
@@benadamslanguages This makes me think about my difficulty learning. Might as well share my story, in case it helps in your lessons. I'm an aspie (autistic), so learning anything I am not interested in was, and still is, nearly impossible. In English, I was two grades behind at school for some years. That was until I discovered the joy of video games. Very few games were localized to my native Norwegian. I remember getting though my first pokemon games without understanding any of the dialog. In fact, I may have learn a few words from those games by context. I don't recall which game that finally did it, but at one point, I wanted, needed, to learn english. It might have been Anno 1503, it was definitely one of the games I played in the process of learning. It had a lot of voiced lines and cut scenes that sounded nonsensical, but the context was cool. Just look up Anno 1503 cut scenes, they were amazing by early 2000's standards. When I decided to learn, I started playing American movies on DVD with English subtitles on. With the subtitles matching the dialog, I was starting to learn. Soon enough I cought up to the rest of the class in school. Though with American spelling, in place of the British spelling we were supposed to learn. I grew up with a resentment toward traditional langauge education. Would a video like this had helped me back then? Well, for one, youtube didn't exist. But aside from that, yes, probably. If Paper's please had been an interesting game to my childhood self. That, I do not know.
Is there anything like this but for learning japanese.... Just asking >3>
I haven't heard of any *gaming* channels like this for Japanese, but I also haven't learned Japanese. The Refold Japanese server probably has tons of recommendations. There is a great beginner channel, though, called Comprehensible Japanese. Check it out! ua-cam.com/users/ComprehensibleJapanese
It will be interesting to see your video about contractions in English like 'bout, 'cuz and maybe you know more good examples. In Harry Potter book I encountered the word " 'cept" (except).
