I don't run coinops X on my Arcade Legends, but I have a lot of games I run through AddOn X, that suddenly stopped working the last few times I tried. Is that due to the 5.7 update? If so, would resetting to factory settings fix this? I feel like my unit has kind of lost functionality the longer I've had it. I've also noted that when I run Attact Mode (the screen saver) it will at some random point black out and give me a message about the display not being found or something.

🥰 100% Agreed. I play a lot of retro PSX era RPGs and recently I started another playthrough of Guardian's Crusade. It's such a simple game in contrast to many others, but it's highlights always stand out: A complete experience, engaging systems, good pacing and easily digestible story. Looking forward to what Elon has in mind for the gaming industry.

Sadly, I don't trust Ubisoft anymore. Even with games that are beloved well known franchises. Ubisoft has deserved a poor reputation for releasing a core game, then selling microtransactions and DLC to provide a more finished product. I no longer trust them to overdeliver on a great gaming experience.

i am not defending the game just pointing out most people baught it from ubisoft of got it via subcription, by the time it got to steam most people that were going to buy it already had. but it did poorly on uplay too. over a millon copys sold which is not bad but well below what it needs to do, considering how much it cost to make.

why no front end, you could have had emulation station on there

There's going to be a new collection or collections fron Sega, which will cost then no money to make.

It was always going to sell to people who don't pay attention, but there's many of them now demanding refunds. It's performance on steam is worse than farming simulator 25 which is a franchise with 1.5mil audience. Dragon Age was previously a 12mil audience

1 step ahead I have sonic 1, 2, and 3&k on sega genesis classics

they are remaking these games, but it's a shame to remove the original materials -_- my humble opinion.

Sega should make a 200 dollar handheld called "Sega Channel Revo" with the specs of Retroid Pocket 5 and make a bunch of money selling their back catalogue of console and arcade games Steam style. I mean a ton of their titles were never sold on console E-shops this seems like a big missed opportunity from them. I guess they want to do all the emulation themselves when they release titles that's why this has never happened.

Everyone needs to hurry up and get Jet Set Radio HD Remaster before it goes away. It might not necessarily be included in any future compilations. Best video game ever! Well its either GTA4 or JSR, but definitely top 2 games ever!!!!!!

If they won't sell it to you, pirate it. I will always buy it first, but if I want it, and I can't buy it, I'll get it either way. Nothing is ever lost. These companies shoot themselves in the foot when they do that.

I'm in japan. We never had them in the first place. We're not allowed to rent their games.

I've already bought these games for Master System, Genesis, Sega CD, Game Gear, Saturn, and Dreamcast. (None of these games were released specifically for the Sega Pico, Nomad, or 32X, but I bought those too.) And then I bought the same games again for PS2, Xbox 360, PSP, Wii, GBA, DS, and I don't even remember what else. So I don't legally have to pay for them again to play them on an emulator. Lately I've been using Retron 5. Although it does use original cartridges, you can use a patch from SD card and the patch can be any full game file. But I do like the collections, if you don't already have the games. One time I was talking to a guy in Gamestop who said he wished he could play all the old Phantasy Star games, and I showed him the shelf with Master System Collection and Genesis Collection for PS2 that had all 4 games. He was amazed.

Simple solution. I will download these if I want them. In this case, Sega clearly doesn’t care if they don’t make a dollar off of these classics. So, F them, and F Nintendo too. They can’t care, if they did, it would be possible to purchase. Impossible to buy? Download the Roms. I can’t stand these practices. For myself, if I want a game bad enough, I’ll buy it. For example, MVC collection. I’ve got my physical copy preordered. I’ve already downloaded these but I want to play them on my Switch. And I will. But until then, Roms it is. So im not that dishonest. But again, same for NES, when Nintendo stopped support for the NES in ‘94, after that, NES, to me, was fair game after that. Same goes for all old consoles. I can’t buy it, how in the world am I supposed to play it?

There is also other reason they want to add wokeness to those remakes titles and I don't know why they do, you see millions of gamers saying no while the 5 percent who are wokeness ask for it, clearly they don't get the picture.

I don't see the problem,these games have been available to purchase for years,even digital games have a shelf life and if a company want to make new collections or remakes or whatever,it makes business sense to delist Sega are pretty good at warning about delists I look forward to what sega release in the future Emulation was about before sega were putting games on steam and emulation will be around after the fact Emulation is a fallback for gamers where there is no other way to play but it should never replace your ability to support games developers

i think that all this stuff can be a recipe for a counter suit. especially since it can be seen as an anti competition thing and as such, the counter suit can be easily done. and pocket pair could levee back that they have been attempting to damage pocket pair's revenue as a result of their suit. they can then do as nintendo did and start raising the revenue comp if they keep trying to sue them into the suit.

It would be great to see Sega return to its roots and remake classics from the past, provided they can match the quality of the original games.

Lets be real, you arent hurting anyone by downloading the romsets.

For anyone looking to collect these games before (or possibly after) they are gone, most of the games set for de-listing are on the "SEGA Genesis Classics" which released with physical editions for XBox One, PS4 and Switch. Of the remaining games, Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, NiGHTS into Dreams, Space Channel 5: Part 2 & SEGA Bass Fishing are part of the Dreamcast Collection on XBox 360 and Steam. That leaves 4 titles not part of a collection: Ecco Ecco Jr Ecco: Tides of Time Eternal Champions
