Wiring Bronco Lights from Aux Switch
With Ford's optional auxillary switches on the Bronco, wiring accessories is pretty easy. Or is it? It takes an idiot to find out!

Thermostat Replacement on a Mazda CX5
Переглядів 33 тис.2 роки тому
The wife's 2013 Mazda CX-5 has been oozing cooling from the thermostat housing ever since it got a bit warm on a blast through Death Valley last June at 75 mph with the AC cranking. Time to replace the thermostat and gasket on the 2.0 liter SkyActiv engine and make a repair.

Windshield Repair - Kind Of

I tried one of those whiz-bang windshield repair kits on my 2003 F-250. I wasted $9.12... like an idiot.

Idiot replaces Mustang control arms

For the second time in 75,000 miles, this 2011 Mustang needs new lower control arms. Why? Because idiots, that's why.

Replacing the Jeep Wrangler Water Pump
Переглядів 2,2 тис.5 років тому
Everybody else claims to be an expert when it comes to fixing cars. I'm the exception - I'm an automotive idiot. Just a regular guy with a lot of cars and a decent shop, and the ability to take things from bad to worse. The first video is me replacing the water pump on my 2004 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4.0. Kick ass!
Do you think this video applies to Mazda CX 30 2021
Petrol or diesel
Good video 👍
Link to the brackets, lights, and wire?
Great video! I’ve been looking for any examples of folks restoring vintage glass that’s been exposed to the elements for 60+ years. All the other videos are light duty, not like our restoration projects. Great video, not an idiot- really appreciate it. I’m going to start with steel wool, lubricant and a razor blade, then move to polishing after to finish it up. I’ll let you know how I goes 😊 thanks again for the informative and well-paced how to video.
Love to hear how it goes for you!
The thermostat is bad. You can tell because of the crusting outside the housing, it lets you know where it is leaking and it seems to be leaking despite the gasket and housing not being cracked. So that is a pressure leak, my friend (meaning most likely it was the coolant control valve). I would have replaced the thermostat anyway, the gasket is hard to find on its own but it looks good. You can drop a Motorad 204-180 thermostat for $4 and problem solved. Beck Arnley is a little better and includes a gasket for $22. Mixing the antifreeze is not recommended. Japanese cars use blue or green POAT type. The control valve is right there.
Perfect video ❤
2015 mazda 5 - the issue is heat when driving at SOME times...standstill gets cold. Think its thermostat but the job is $300 !! but and thermostat is only $35. Why did they make it like this???/
The hard part is finding the thermostat gasket but you can buy a compatible thermostat from Motorad for $4 for that car. Some manufacturers include de gasket but then it costs like $21 (Beck Arnley /Mahle, etc.)
Questions: What gauges in modern cars that did not move, your Mazda CX5 has a temp gauge? WHERE??!! 2nd question, where in Pahrump did you visit that made you say... wow, what a nice town?! Good place to be from. Why??!! LOL
This video needs more views! All these 'late' S197 Mustangs have this issue sooner or later, and will need new arms. This is one of the best videos for a shade tree/home mechanic tackling this job. I wonder if it's not just easier to move the steering rack than fight with the tie rod boots - I think it's just a matter of two more bolts on the V6/GT without oil coolers.
Goid video. 3M weatherstrip adhesive remover is a good way to remove the black weatherstrip adhesive on any surface. Really works great.
Great video! I was thinking about doing my side windows for My 68 Camaro now. I was reading and hearing from people that the remanufactured glass doesn’t have the same curvature so it makes me a little nervous. The glass is really cheap, about $100 each and I can get it here locally but don’t want to hassle with that yet. We will try this first! Cheers!
That chemical he used is a mix of natural diatomaceous earth and aluminum oxide. Its good....... enough 👍
Got a 2006 LJ just like your with 212,000 miles and I’m in the process of changing original water pump as we speak. Thanks for the video Sir….Nice job!! Jeep On.
Nice LJ. Thanks for the detailed repair. I wonder if placing a rope down one of the cylinders to stop the engine from turning would've saved a trip to the partes store.
Later Mazdas have coolant control valves, which have had a lot of problems(ask me how I know). The entire right side of the engine bay has to be gutted, in order to replace it. Mine was replaced under warranty. Without a warranty, plan on spending $1200-$1400 for the repair.
Too much talking
Rude!
Too much judgement for a follower of Jesus
Mute the video 😅
I have a 1972 Karmann Ghia. I'm going to have to try to do this with the glass in. Do you think that the steel wool could take care f the entire job? I mostly have the white fog/haze along the bottoms.
It's worth a try, especially if it's a mineral build up! Maybe add a bit of vinegar and water to the steel wool.
You can still see all the water spots
I like u bro I just got my 23 raptor bronco I love it
Since the pump mounting bolts penetrate the water jacket I would’ve coated the threads with something to prevent leakage as extra insurance.
Thankyou for sharing mine CX-5 16000 miles got same issue 🙏🏼
Did you ever have the intake valves carbon cleaned?
now im no mechanic but couldnt you get to it from underneath? instead of removing one side of the engine bay?
Glod job, sir. Appreciate your video
Omg your hilarious
I do what I can!
Thank you so much for this video!! Here in the central valley of Northern California, the summertime temperatures get up to 100 to 110°F easily during the summer. When the air conditioning in our MX 5 was not working well my wife took it into the dealership and they said oh you might be leaking Freon so they recharged it and charged us $150. That did not help so we took it back and they did something else and charged us another $150. My wife realized that the dash on her car said 10°F. She looked up what that meant and the car was reading ambient outside temperature to be 10°F when it was 100 out. The owners manual said that it took the ambient temperature from a sensor in front of the radiator. The air conditioner won’t work if it sees outside temp is low!!! It doesn’t believe the occupants but rather it’s sensors? Really? I ordered the part. $40 Getting to the sensor is way to difficult. But thanks for the video.
I smell coolant on the passenger side of my hood after driving. I probably have a leak somewhere but I don’t see anything leaking. I did feel the radiator up a little so I’m losing coolant. I don’t know but I’ll change the fluid and change the thermostat soon. Thanks for the video
Donde compro los sensores tpms?
Desde Amazon
My step daughter brought her car to the service center for a check engine light and they want $950 to replace the thermostat. The other mechanic done the block said he can do it for $295. Do you think it should be done by the dealership or is this something a regular mechanic can handle.
If it's just a thermostat replacement that is something a "normal" mechanic can handle just fine. I've replaced thermostats on several car brands and it's not a hard job to do.
That's a lot fir a thermostat ..crazy I'd never pay that i do it myself
Sorry to reply so late. As you see in the video, I don't think it's all that hard of a job, and I'm an idiot. Hope it worked out well for youi!
Pretty well explained, thanks.
I seen that little controller on Amazon and I was really curious about it, nice video man I’ll definitely be picking one up
Nice job bud
Thank you sir!
