CLASS 08 CHAPTER 1 KENOPANISHAD 11/11/2024
....This is called internal sannyasa, or ownership-controllership renunciation. I talked about this internal sannyasa in one guru pur. ima, CLASP rejection. And how do we know I have renounced ahamkara-mamakara? How do I know whether I am an inner sanyasi~ or not? External sanyasa is very easy. kavi is enough. But external renunciation never gives liberation. It might have some practical advantage like, having more time. But what really matters is, internal renunciation. What is the indication? FIR reduction with regard to anxiety and fear. Anxiety and fear are insecurity.

098 CHAPTER 06, VERSES 43-47 ॐ In spite of Lord's Krishna's encouragement, Arjuna became very pessimistic with regard to his own spiritual journey. The reason is that Arjuna understood that spiritual journey involves knowledge and spiritual knowledge involves the refinement of the mind, management of the mind, or the purification of the mind. And when Arjuna looks at his own mind, he feels that...

MANTRA 1. The disciple asked: Om. By whose will directed does the mind proceed to its object? At whose command does the prana, the foremost, do its duty? At whose will do men utter speech? Who is the god that directs the eyes and ears? As I said in the introduction, the Upaniṣad has got 4 chapters. Each chapter is called a khaṇḍaḥ. We are entering the first khaṇḍa, first mantrā. General Introduction 2 Class 3 (continuation): Okay, then the next question is,” how to recognise that Brahman? " Because all our organs are designed to recognise plurality only. Unfortunately, all our organs including logic, including science. Science is nothing but, analysis of the data collected by the sense organs. And sense organs deal with what? nama ru~pa. And science does what? Collect ...

Beautiful teaching ~ thank you Arlindo 🙏
It's very interesting what the mind can cook up! And the explanations as well, are not easy to grasp because words cannot express the reality sufficiently. Good one, Arlindo!
Very nice satsang, thanks Arlindo.

Correct: talking with this class
Dear prof. Arlindo Nagar, I really enjoyed your Way of taleigo with this class(05/13/2021), Gratituda. Hugs
Obrigado Arlindo.
It's been said, "If you only knew who you are!"
Did you say Prakriti and Maya are synonymous? I thought Prakriti is perceived to be real in another tradition.
As far as Prakrit, it is said to be the essential nature of mithya but it's not real but apparently real. It is literally translated as nature but it points to the most subtle aspect of energy. It is often presented as Maya, the macrocosmic reflecting medium. Hope it helps and good luck. 🙏
It sounds as if Vedanta is the only way to freedom. This sounds reminiscent of the Christian view of the Christ, and the Islamic view of Allah. Why does there always seem to be a claim to the one and only truth? Wasn't it said that Truth is One, no matter the Name? I understand the need to preserve a tradition, but something that is real and alive, does not change, no matter what.
Hello Dear, It is my understanding based on the declarations in Vedic Scriptures that the Vedas were not originated by an individual, a human Jiva, but it was revealed directly from Consciousness --> Lord Isvara --> The Rishes. My own analises following the logic presented by the scriptures brought me to full confidence in this scriptural statement. Religions, in general, are originated by a human Jiva. Some enlightened soul with self-knowledge develops one's own ideas on how to have a positive spiritual impact on society. But that is not the case with Vedanta… and that is why nobody claims to have written the Vedas and the Upanishads. It is my understanding that all religions have their roots in the Vedas for it is the original source of spiritual knowledge. It's not a question of trying to preserve the tradition or any sort of fanaticism. I had searched enlightenment in association with a few other traditions before I got in contact with Vedanta, therefore I know the difference. Yes, the truth is one, but not all paths lead to IT, for we can only get to IT by the means of Knowledge, and for that we "better have" a pure pramana, a pure revealed knowledge, which is conducive to the final understanding of one's real nature. There is no other means of self knowledge as complete, extensive, clear and elegant as the Upanishads. It is indeed, pure spiritual knowledge. Hope you feel better, my friend. As far as Prakrit, it is said to be the essential nature of mithya but it's not real but apparently real. It is literally translated as nature but it points to the most subtle aspect of energy. It is often presented as Maya, the macrocosmic reflecting medium. Hope it helps and good luck. 🙏
Excellent teachings as always, dear prof. Arlindo, gratitude
Namaste and thank you Arlindo
Nice one, Arlindo! I like the leaf/jiva analogy.
Yes. I had a million things to do!
Very nice to see you all in satsang. Vedanta. Spread this to whole world. Bring peace to world. This is possible only with Sanatan dharma
"Self Knowledge is the knowledge that puts an end to the need for more knowledge"~ Thanks Arlindo
Agree! ~ a beautiful Satsang 🙏
Thank you Arlindo
You are welcome, dear Glenda
Loved It!
Dear Arlindo I am looking forward to join the class on coming Monday thank you very much for the invitation
Hi Elisabeth, You are most welcome to join us, but; Hi everyone. All is well here in India..still a bit jetlagged, though. Unfortunately, the timing is not going to work for us. I need to suspend our classes for the next three weeks. I have the entire afternoons available here in India but the problem is that 8 AM in Carbondale, CO is 8:30 PM in India, and we have evening classes here. My schedule here is 2 hours in the morning and 90 minutes in the evening. The evening classes are from 7:30 to 9:00 PM (India time). Also, the Monday's European classes will need to be suspended because 8:00 PM in Spain is equivalent to 12:30 AM here (too late) For three weeks there will be no webinar classes. Love
🙏
Thank you, Bucky.
Arlindo~ The audio volume is very low. If anyone has VLC player they can double the volume of the audio. Cheers, Glenda
Again, thank you Arlindo for your clear teaching. I will share this with the Friends of James Swartz - Advaita Vedanta FB Group.
