Just a video blog of my travel through the Astrophotography hobby. I’m just starting down this road, or as some might call it a rabbit hole. This is my video journal of progress, mistakes and learning. Hope to inspire others that are on the same path. Astrophotography is certainly not for the faint of heart but it’s a very rewarding blessing to explore God’s vast universe and capture its beauty.

It`s nice to hear some won mention God
Great explanation, it almost happened to me on Star Adventurer GTi.
Great video... Love what you are doing and a big shout out to Mr.Roofer! A magnet on a piece of string is always a good addition to any toolkit...if the spring drops? Run the magnet along the grass and you will find it in no time!
I just bought VERY similar setup, EQM35 Pro and ASIAIR Plus. USB 2.0 port on ASIAIR, BUT what port on the mount?
Just bought a Sky Watcher EQM-35i to replace my Sky Watcher AZ GTi mount. Hasn't arrived yet, but think it is like the EQM35. Oh, and just subscribed.
Did you have issues finding objects? Some say it’s off a few degrees because the gears have low quality grease.
Bill, the last part where you filmed the flip was quite good. For beginners on an EQ mount, all the gyrations are a bit much to understand. A video was worth a thousand words. Thanks for posting sir. And have a good new year....
How did you connect the usb cable on the mount directly to the ASIAIR plus?
Can Do!
Slayyy
Fantastic video! I hope all our incredible veterans had a great evening.
Awesome! Hope you get something good!
Wow talk about right place at the right time! This is awesome!
I saw something mybe 30mins ago like a meteor or something but the blue trail behind it was over half of the sky and fast as blink of an eye
Wow stunning pictures of the falls.
More credible than nasa at fraction of cost
So cool, what good luck your camera was pointed in that direction!
I know. Thankfully I had just moved it because it was in the way of my mount. 😂
Great shot bill if ok i would like to share this. Ill credit you with your link in my comments section of my next video where i pin notes in the comments section great shot
0:43 wow
Can't wait to are what you get buddy! 😃
Welcome
What a great video! Thank you, Bill!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic video! So glad you were able to attend the event.
Congratulations on new gear Bill. Let's pay homage to clouds n Moon 😂
I’ve taken lots of images already now. I’m waiting to process them all before I put the video blog together. But yes the clouds and the moon are definitely shaming me right now. 😂
Love the curtain reveals! 😊 wish I could've seen more of rho complex tho, 😉. Great video man!
Hi, can you provide a link for that mount cable? Thanks
Congratulations on your new AM5 mount! Hope you will enjoy the new astro gear. CS!
Thanks. As with any new gear arriving, I’m seeing cloudy skies every night in the foreseeable future. 😂
This is quality content, why is nobody watching it
I don’t have many subscribers. Trying to figure how to get the hang of it.
2 seconds NoiseXterminator on that image size?!! What's your macbook spec if you don't mind letting me know? Thanks!
Its not all that, I sped up the video. LOL It is just an M1 Air so 8 core I think. I'd love the pro with the M2
Cool Video! For some reason this random video popped with 64 views popped up on my front page but I won't complain. Just wanted to let you know that the algorithm seems to like your content :)
Someday we will travel through that final frontier
Wow! Nice capture 👍🏼.
kinda scary but cool too!
Looks like a cool place! 😎
It was!
Hiya Bill. Cathleen Shea, from Astrospheric. Just meandered here from your post links in Astrospheric. Fellow veteran... Air Force here. Served from 86-96. Still practicing staying upright... the night sky helps. :)
Awesome. I was stationed near Kessler Air-force Base in Gulfport. Loved their base. 1991-2009 Navy Seabees. Thank for checking out the channel. Clear Skies. 🔭
Really enjoyed the video Bill, keep it up! Clear skies!
Thanks so much.
Merry Xmas Bill. Awesome story with MrRoofer. Amazing they came through for you. I have almost the same setup you do and was wondering if you post a link to the USB cable you used. The USB port on the main box is kinda shallow and I can’t find a cable that plugs in with a lot of confidence. Thanks, and congrats on the new roof. Hopefully, it’s all done by now.

Always thrilled to see another Veteran in this hobby. What a wonderful story on your roof and spirits. May God continue to bless you and inspire more videos.
just a short question. Can the EQM-35 carry a 6 inch newton for astro photography? Or is a heavyer mount neccessary?
HEQ5 or EQ6R are needed.
Lvd there sound the coyotes I once in awhile set up in the middle of nowhere on the Sacramento water Banks I live in Oroville in the city just too much light pollution enjoy
Wow crazy set up
how you connecting the mount to the asiair? (as what cable) just a usb cable? or eqmod? as i have an air coming tomorrow for my se eq35
A HEQ5 mount slewing is only 2A and nowhere near 6A
Bean status: Cool!
Thank you for the Sub. :)
how did you get the asiair plus working with the mount, using USB port only? I have an ASIAIR Pro and wouldn't detect it on EQMOD, even baud 115k
Try updating the ASIAir Firmware. This is the plus. Also not all cables are equal make sure you have a nice cable that is shielded well.
Nice video…
Thanks for the visit
Quick question, with the Asiair there's no need for the sky-watcher wifi module? Or is it's good to have anyways?
It’s always good to have a backup, as long as it’s functioning properly it isn’t needed though.
Why so long backtube? Dont have flattener?
No it is a long long back focus for this scope. 55mm standard and the flattener adjust out for another 16mm.
Is that the normal guiding error for this mount ?
Unfortunately it is common because the mount is too stiff. That will be the next upgrade. Any suggestions?
@@AstroSeabee I use two mounts, the new GTI with my redcat 51 guides about 0.5 to 0.8 and an EQ6R does about the same for the bigger 115EDF
