It's not the preacher's job to teach you the scriptures, it's your job to willfully want god and want to read the bible and learn the scriptures. The pastor is just there to show a deeper understanding of it.

@@MRKdmorris3 well I never said you dont need I preacher, I said you dont need a preacher to pick up a bible and read it, which you dont. Ever since my church has closed down I've been reading my study bible with no pastor. You dont need a pastor to read the bible because at the end of the day it's your faith not the pastor's. And btw jes teaching people the bible, he's using metaphors to describe and to give people a better understanding of the text. Think for just a minute. We have this huge book made thousands of years ago with english and ways of using language that people do not use anymore. What better way to preach to people than to let them get a better understanding of it in today's terms because after all we dont live in the dark ages with horses and carrgies anymore. And also he litteraly talks about a couple of scriptures and reads them. He just talks in a different way. Of course people would be shocked if people preached like that in classrooms. First off math and science and history has nothing at all to do with the bible therefore you cannot teach it the same. At the end of the day everyone learns and interprets things differently. You may not like nor understand this way of preaching but others do. All that matters is that he is preaching from the bible. So please dont be to quick to judge or bring out something negative if you dont understand it.

However, what you meant was what you just stated about us picking up the bible, the Bible doesn't need modernizing which is why the Christian church is so ignorant to the scriptures, it needs a renovated ministry focused on repentance and sound doctrine, in this video all you have is a bunch of sensual, emotional driven shouters and the pastor is shouting right along with them, can't hear a word, no one learning sound doctrine.
