Grand Champion score (TBT Archive). This was before I started doing tutorial videos so there is not much instruction. The basic strategy: 1. Unlimited Add-a-ball by hitting OR BS drop targets in sequence. Hitting two at the same time will give it to you in order (I do this a lot). 2. Anyone know how Where's Barb acts in competition mode? Curious if you will know where Barb is right off the bat while watching someone else play through it.
i've got the triple stack twice. sadly, no one was present when i accomplished it.
This is one of those games I always passed on and only recently have discovered how fun it is. And, challenging. Getting all the drop targets is more challenging than expected. And those inlines are notorious for shooting right down the middle.
How do you get to 6 balls during Multiball? When I originally had it, it happened a ton, but after updating code, it always does 3 or 4 only. I know I'm missing something.

You need to look up the Fellowship of the Silverball. Amazing group of people. I go up there to play once a month. Next event is Friday the 12th I believe. Hopefully meet you there soon!

@@peteshirey9816 Pinky’s is an awesome place to play. I usually play there for their monthly Saturday event. The Phil’s and John from Phil’s Pinball do a great job maintaining the machines there and running the tournaments. You are about to fall backwards into tons of good people and pinball!

I can only do videos on the games I have at home. So it might be a while before I end up doing those two. Maybe if I build a mobile rig I can start doing videos elsewhere. That is in the plans for the future!
Great video explainer / great control of the game. IM is such a well designed pinball game, but the band plays such cr*p music and the satanic imagery is the worst of the worst. What a shame.
I was not a big fan of the theme when this came out but the band has grown on me slightly. I still wish they would have done the theme that was intended for this layout: Archer

Been playing it here in Tokyo for a year. Didn’t care for Data East in the past, but I really enjoy this machine.
I just hate this table with a burning passion and it is not a rewarding game. The shots are very demanding. I promise to beat/top your score someday in the future. Do not think you are unbeatable. Try to score more than 2.700.000.000 on Theatre of Magic and 3.050.000.000 on World Cup Soccer 94 and then we will talk about scoring big.
I am far from unbeatable and those are good scores. If I ever get access to those games I will try to catch them. Do you have Pindigo?

I played this game for 6 hours yesterday... I got the triple stack... BARELY... But it was so great to hear the '30 MIiiillllion'. I only got a few of 'em. I'm so hooked on this game. at my location, if I do one good nudge... The game tilts out... It's kind of like going to the gym... My flipper skills are getting really good. Only been playing for 18 months. BTW. your explanation of this game is the best I've seen... You broke down in a few minutes what a lot of players seem to take 10 minutes to explain. Thanks!

I have this pinball machine in my living room. The highest I've ever gotten was 28 million on Michelangelo. I just got over 11 million this evening on Leonardo. I'm no Pinball Wizard, I just love playing it.

So near the beginning you state the right upper flipper ramp is important. Then you say you hit the ramp, but the ball didn’t actually go up the ramp. But you said you got credit?
Because it’s a pro not a premium so no ramp there.

How do you fire the upper flipper while holding balls on the lower flipper?
That's the staging part he was talking about. Lower flipper will engage with a half press, upper flipper will engage with a full press.
Thank you for making this great tutorial on this addictive challenging pin. Elwins pins have such deep rules and unique shots. Top 5 pin imo. You do a great job stage flipping.

Would love a tutorial on nudging and SDTM saves. I feel like my slap saves never work but i hit the hell out of the box.
It’s all feel and anticipation. One thing I focus on is trying to return the game softly but solidly to rest if that makes sense. It takes the swing out of the tilt bob. It’s just something you have to develop over time. Abe Flips has awesome skill based tutorials on his channel. Check that out for more detailed explanation of nudging techniques!
@@southcarolinapinball Nudging I think i have done pretty OK but the slap save never seems to divert the ball and I'm not a small guy.
Nice review! I’ve had mine since May and still haven’t cracked 400 million. Will definitely try your strategies.
Only revision I would make is: if your spinner is juicy Disc Multiball should be used to get weapons toward Mech Suit. My spinner only gets about 6 spins per shot so it’s not great for this machine.

I'm getting a new in box DP Pro next week. Do you still have yours? Any playfield issues I should watch out for?
I still have it. No issues. When you get it make sure you tweak the SNIKT target so you get a smooth bounce up the katana ramp. Make sure you can backhand the left ramp and the entrance to the lock shot on the right. And there is a setting for the Hell House kicker. That is the main scoop. Make sure it’s kicking to middle of the right flipper most of the time. I had to lower the power bc it was hitting above the flipper. ENJOY IT! AWESOME GAME!
@@southcarolinapinball The Hell house kickout was way too strong. I adjusted it down to 160. Other problem Im having is the little DP drop targets are not dropping with a strong direct hit. I think I have to move the assembly forward.
@@MegaHowtoMan I get bricks on the drops occasionally but they are mostly good. Hope you get yours dialed in. Fantastic game when it’s playing properly!
Spelling DELUXE should rerack as your machine is set. There's no excuse for machine not to have this, especially in a cumulative bonus game.
I agree that having it set to rerack is ideal. I hate getting locked out of something until the next ball. But it’s a setting that some operators/owners use 🤷🏻♂️
@@southcarolinapinball Arcades that tended to be busier made the settings less ideal, but I had a knack for placing a few extra dollars in a tech's pocket to change settings on machines. I started doing this in junior high school.
Is it possible to shoot the ball through the demogorgons mouth? I love playing this machine but have yet to ever get it clear through
Yes. Usually easier if you trap the ball on the flipper first. Also depending on how the game is set up it may need adjustment… especially if it was an early run. The first round of machines produced are notorious for needing adjustment.
