Johnny Echols - guitar, vocals; Rusty Squeezebox - vocals, guitar; Mike Randle - guitar, vocals; James Nolte, bass guitar, vocals; David Green - drums. Around 48 seconds in, there's some blurring - this was caused by a guy trying to barge past me to get to the front. I stood my ground, and he gave up after that one attempt.

'King Kong' is a Frank Zappa composition, first appearing on the 1969 Mothers Of Invention album, Uncle Meat. I decided not to start recording Echoes because of how long I would have to try to hold my camera still, but about half-way through it was so good that I began to. So my apologies to the musicians and everyone else for there only being the second part. If I ever go see the band again I'll try to record the whole thing.

Thanks for uploading this set . Does it come from a bootleg called "rare sympathy" a live recording of a concert of the band in Berlin. It would be nice to upload the whole set .
Yes, that's the set I have. Unfortunately, the sound quality in the first half of it isn't good, it only starts to improve during King Kong. The first couple of numbers it sounds like there's two Germans having a conversation next to the guy doing the recording. I'll have a think about uploading what's after King Kong, but to be honest the live versions aren't much different to the studio recordings, and King Kong is the one I really wanted to get on UA-cam. Now we need someone to try and get it sounding better, it would be a great bonus track on the second album.

Of all the 70's come back bands, Atomic Rooster.., to me, are by far the most authentic and best I've seen and heard. Steve Bolton has not lost anything and Pete French is still an awesome vocalist...to the younger pick up members of the band..be thankful...be grateful, you'll not see the like again
I was very impressed by the band that evening, excellent musicianship throughout and a very professional show, and all five looked to be enjoying being on stage. Adrian Gautrey's organ playing was terrific.
