Love how they can produce product with an electric motor and /or with the diesel engine.......and the elctric also is the starter motor as well.......putting an invertor starter on the electric motor transforms its abilty for work with no nasty power spikes as well.....great set-up.......

respect! what a living functional museum! Love the burning rag ..... so that was the invention of the glow-plug used in modern Diesel engines to make startup easier :-)

first engines 1700s had to be 'flamed' as electricity had not been harnessed yet (spark) - a small pan had liquid with wick right at the intake valve port. A small amount of flame induced when the air/fuel mixture was sucked in which started the combustion process but it didn't complete until the power stroke started. I'm honored to see one of these run at 'Field of Days Long Past' in Shortpump, Virginia.
