@@charleshaynes2991 thank you for watching! So I originally read these back in 2021/2022 and at the time was quite unwell so I think that hindered my enjoyment a little bit. I always wanted to continue to the next ones but just kept putting it off and then decided to re-read these (which I enjoyed so much more the second time around!) and will be carrying on with the rest very soon 😊

By book 7 it does seem like Rand is really steamrolling through his enemies and cruising to victory, especially at the end where he is proclaimed "king of the world" and he even starts to like it, which is a big change for him, but remember the old proverb: "Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall." Not to mention a Seanchan proverb: "On the heights, the paths are paved with daggers."

@@sophiereads.x Also another thing people forget is that the Dark One doesn't actually want to kill Rand, he wants to turn him to his side and make him his champion. In fact his minions are even forbidden from killing him. "Let the lord of chaos rule." DO doesn't even really care if they die either. That's kind of a huge handicap they are working with haha.
@@Dave3Dman yes I have noticed that, that’s certainly what’s adding to the feeling that we’re just going round and round a bit. I’m certainly interested in where the series is going, there’s only so many times they can confront one another!
