Dude, I was like you a few months ago. My friends convinced me to try an iphone (13 in my case) and all those things you mentioned and more were issues for me. It seems like every simple task on ios is a convoluted multi-step process. Too many inconsistencies and lack of controllability! Gladly back on Android.

Wait... you have to pay for each of those extra features separately. Remove Noise 82€, AI Masking 82€, AI Image Resizer 118€,... that bumps up the price by a lot.

I am just sticking my toe into this hobby/world. I watched a video the other night and the reviewer sold me with the passion in his voice and highlighted the points as to why the IEM he had in his hand was wonderful. My heart sank and got stepped on when I saw the price of $7k. So your video and others have brought me back to my senses. Start low budget and learn the sound curve to better understand what I’m really looking for. Education in this expensive market is key. Thanks for a great video. New subscriber here. Need an UPDATE: Tamron, Sigma and Viltrox now are making lenses for Canon. and Canon r50 is even more better for photography. The only thing is low light filming, but with those news lenses with low aperture, problem is fixed. Canon R50 is much better choice for both video and photography. Imagine having a tele-lenses RF 100-400 at about 650 euros for Canon, which is way much more expensive for Sony. Basically is the other way around if you considere this distance lense price.

I genuinely tried to like this lens. I got colors that were washed out. It's failed me at a photo gig that I had. Just did not deliver.

Nikon D3400 is the best APS-C camera as mirror camera. Of course there coming Sony A6100 if same dynamic range and better noise read.

I have this lens. Got it with my em5 mark 1 from MPB. I was (and still am) a noob when I got it. Spend all my tiny savings on the em5 so there wasn't much left to spend on the lens and I wanted some reach for landscape so I got but I wouldn't buy it again. I tried to shoot an event for family members. It cannot handle low light, using high ISO, shutter speed still couldn't catch up with moving subjects and most photos turned out failed. It's okay for a beginner if there's good light and it can do well on sunny days for thing like landscape, urban but as soon as the sun goes down, the quality goes down too and forget about freezing subjects without ISO hard noise. And yeah, not really sharp- agree with that too. That being said, I've still got a pretty big album with pretty cool photos taken during daylight with this lens and the em5. Next visit at MPB I'll be getting some 1.2/1.4 lenses from Olympus.

Thanks for a good review. I just saw this selling cheap for 50€ but no need to buy it after seeing this review. I already have a Olympus stock zoom, and I'm sure it performs much better. I just thought i could have bougt another one cheap for another camera, but this sounds like it's not worth.

You say get the Sony but man the cost of this system is so out of most people’s reach that going for a decent camera like the M50 mkii makes financial sense. Great watch though 👍

It's still worth picking up at a used market. Both camera and native lens are at a great deal now, thought ef afapter and speed bosster still essential IMO. There's many advantages to staying a bit behind the current generation of technology.

Coming from a Canon 5D Mark IV to the Sony A6400 and I'm so excited for the face tracking and animal eye detection.

Despite my gripes with Canon, I still think they make the most comfortable cameras to hold, intuitive controls, and their color science is amazing-easily the best color grading I’ve seen in photos straight out the camera without any editing. Sigma now makes RF lenses, you can buy an adapter, and the R50 can be found cheaper than 6300-6700 now. I think the R50 makes more sense unless you’re shooting video.

I've been trying to figure out how to review photos while traveling and use my larger tablet screen to review and quickly delete. What did you mean about usb c to usb c? My android camera and tablet both have one but I can't figure out how to mirror my camera screen with it or even just review images except one by one, so frustrating

I have this exact lens - came with my G7 - It looks a good bit different from this one. For one, the telescoping travel is much shorter...and very smooth travel, no rattle...it seems like a different lens - I'm in the US if that means anything?

Thanks for your great video. The ZV is current priced @ £499 here in UK, a great price indeed. I live in Scotland and do shoot outdoors so the weather seal of the 6400 is important for me to consider. The other main area I need to consider is ‘stabilisation’, whilst the ZV has this digitally, the samples I have seen (walking whilst shooting) on You Tube are not acceptable for me and would mean I would probably correct in post, Sony Catalyse software is a subscription-based model and at £10 a month that would be an added £240 in two years. Something that needs to be thought about for people considering the ZV. The more research I do regarding the ZV I realise, whilst it has very capable specs Sony has not created this camera for outdoors use. I see it as more for indoor content creators.
