11 minutes in I had to say wow, this Vickie character is a horrid, vicious & vile woman, she's the type who knows the price of everything the value & worth of nothing. Amazing how Caroline kowtowed to her with the flowers... Let's seewhere this leads her I hope she gets what she deserves. Never watched this before it's a new one for me, Thanks for sharing.

What a good film.

By a thousand cuts the vicious Vicky inflicts grief upon Anne and the tension builds.This is a tightly wound story with a legal twist at the end. The very end is lame.

If the guys searched the entire house, they would have found Carolyn’s suitcase. Rip was dumb not to call police for the sake of his wife, to protect himself but reputations were everything to the wealthy in those days. He had to think Victoria may be involved with everything she did thus far. Did Rip check hotels, hospitals etc. poor Carolyn has no brains left. The mind of a 3 year old. What did Victoria do to her. Why would she ask Victoria if they could tell the others about the vault. That actress played that part well. Rip is so dumb to trust that Victoria questioned Carolyn was enough. Even Dr Lucas had more sense. Rip has to know the psychological abuse Carolyn is under with her sister. You would think if the father built that sound proof room to sleep in, there was a way to exit. Just because door panel closed, vault door was still open when Victoria entered. After some time, Rip would have gone back to check on her and they eventually would have found her. And the estate would be for Carolyn. Seemed like generational wealth always went to the son in the family. Women were thought to marry and be taken care of by their husbands. Victoria and Carolyn depended on that money. They had money but Carolynn would need counseling and Rip for all their childhood trauma. Still unsure if Victoria never married because she had two younger siblings to care for or because of her hatefulness, she never found love. Whichever it was, she wanted to make sure her siblings never had love as well. Or tried to. Victoria should have felt blessed that if she had to take care of her siblings, she still had a big house, properties, never had to work, and wealth. The kids should have gone to finest schools and college. Rip didn’t seem to have an education to do anything but handle family property management. The mansion seemed drab with all that dark wood paneling but maybe if film was in color, it would have been more beautiful. Maybe in this movie, kindness prevails, but my sister, my mom and my nephew, no matter how hateful and mean, destructive, ruining other’s lives, always came out on top. Always had a home to live in, money, boyfriend/husband etc. never had to really suffer. For some victims, the suffering never stops. Can never get ahead and never feel loved. I don’t believe in karma. Never see it reciprocate with bad people. Sometimes you feel like evil prevails but then you meet super kind loving people who have never suffered really in their lives. Or people who are just born saints. When you are a victim and tainted, it’s so hard to bounce back or find happiness.

I would love to find an old house that had a vault like that. These days people have taken old houses and to make apartments, destroyed original architect. And some have tried to revert back into a single family home. Some were made as a duplex. Sometimes hard to tell difference. I wish homes came with a blueprint of original design. For some houses it’s hard to know what they originally looked like. A lot of the ones I’ve seen didn’t have a lot of insulation. They are cool in summer and freezing in winter.

Who else thinks that oldies are much better than new production?
