Once per turn, Elixir of bloodlust gives an action after you permanently defeat an npc. With cull the weak active you do not get the trigger. So notice it was Yurgir's defeat that gave action when Divine smite was used. I hope it helps.

It took a lot of time to achieve this with bad decisions and actions. Power lies in that. xD

Rogue Level 3 subclass 'sassin. Any successful hit against surprised thing is critical.

It is Paladin 5 levels & fighter 2 levels onwards battlemaster 3 levels for all battles except Thorm. For Thorm & Myrkul you higher spells slots needed so it is Paladin 5, sorcerer 3 & fighter 2.

@@localgfdotcom It does not. Only your origin (like folk hero/sage etc.) & race can not be changed.

I guess you already solved that but Im gonna answer it just in case someone is stuck like you are. You don't have to bless the chest, you have to bless the stone circle around the chest, this is gonna release the chest and the captain.

I did moonrise battle but it was too funny to upload. :) It is a Larian game after all, many ways to achieve goals. No tricks were used to get alchemy items. There are many traders available at this point. Last light inn & Derith before freeing Nightsong (myconid colony). Unlock moonrise after Isobel quest then you get Araj and Roah.

Technically boosts should remain active until long rest. I did record this video after latest update which is patch 3 hotfix 8.

Ah ok, so you did all your act 2 battles with no long rest right ?

@@locknload9590 Not really. :) Paladin had morning lord's Radiance & Myconid bonuses are active only for two battles in video which are into shadow lands and Gith Inquisitor. After you defeat gith inquisitor and change region long rest is scripted that is where my paladin lost these bonuses. But you can get morning lord's radiance after the inquisitor battle and keep it active till long rest. You can also use divine favour. Inquisitor's might +3 radiant is available to Oath of vengeance paladin only. I hope it helps.

@@amixp2745 Hmm, I see. Unfortunately, I do not recall that one. I guess I will keep an eye for it, since I am re-starting my campaign, because I've apparently missed so much!

You can buy or craft elixir of vigilance. For crafting you must defeat some hook horrors. Actually I used just two. First battle and Gerringothe Thorm. :)

I just like battlemaster & just one level needed for superiority dice so I went with that. Of course you can choose any other combination and enjoy game as you like.

But I have an idea how to defeat her. At least level 11 fighter and the adamantine either helm or armor which makes you immune to critical hits. Because when the goes mad and does her 10 attacks in one round where 8 are critics, on tactician you can be glad if you survive 1 onslaught.

@@DarkoLuketic Duel is a lot harder? You need to bring two Orin against Battlemaster and it will be done solo in one turn. xD

@@amixp2745 it's harder, or it was for me, duel, well, it's 1v1 and my char was a weakly bard/rogue, fighter champion wiped the floor with her, 2nd round. Forgot to switch the armor so I didn't wear the adamantine heavy, but the one from uh the undead chosen. Dual wielding maces and a haste potion. Almost 1st round but the rng gods were unfavorable

@@DarkoLuketic I suppose the game depends on build you choose. Familiarity with combat helps.

She is a custom origin character. Well, I do not feel the need to create new character. Hardly I roleplay. Elixir of Battlemage's power grants 3 turns of Arcane acuity 3. Unique elixir in game, when you drink other elixirs, its effect is still active for 3 turns. In above video fighter had two arcane acuity, since first turn was used already manually.

Still there is a way. The level 3 Rogue ('sassin subclass gives auto auto critical on surprised successful hits and auto advantage on things that haven't taken a turn) & that is still level 9. There is risky ring in Moonrise Towers which gives advantages on atk rolls but disadvantages on saving throws. Feat just gave my fighter +2 intelligence hence not a big deal. But I will never do an evil playthrough. It is not for me definitely. Have a nice day.

​@@amixp2745Risky Ring takes one slot of equipment so no sweetheart killer for example. But I don't understand why boss don't have have Alert feat except Yurgir. It will prevent that kind of cheese

@@RPGLegacy997 I mentioned this in video indirectly. Thorm has 22 AC which is highest when compared to any other boss. Along with +5 Saving throws. 20 charisma, you can not even inflict bane. Very difficult to use perilous stakes too. But low dexterity is only weakness. Had they given him Alert feat and high dexterity he might have gained first turn, turning it into most difficult battle in game. Paladin does a lot of burst damage in game and Thorm is a paladin. As for Risky ring. I would say it is best ring in game even at the cost of saving throws disadvantage. There are two ring slots. Use K sweet ring on it.

@@amixp2745 yeah and that would have been a good thing. He is the major villain in the game so he should be one of the hardest. I suspect that there will be next year a new difficulty setting with that kind of thing. Just give alert to more bosses, add some defensive abilities like sanctuary and you will get truly challenging bosses. Also don't forget that is isn't supposed to be solo.

@@RPGLegacy997 Hahah. Well there is a certain balance to add challenges. Strength & Dex based characters with high AC have low wisdom. Like Raphael for example. There should be at least one weakness to a boss. Failing that we miss the balance. Besides I already wrote. Thorm/Myrkul is already very challenging battle in game. Maybe most difficult because you do not have best items & as long as you are not Paladin. As for fighter, I had to do lot of work to create this strategy.

Larian blessed with us so much power that combat can be done solo with multiple strategies and there is respec. Of course you must know what kind of challenge you are facing. I would not recommend solo on first playthrough. I consider some items equivalent to levels. Gloves of automatons is equal 3 to 4 levels. Just unmatched. The point at which my battlemaster gets Balduran's Giantslayer is another game changer in act 3.

@@amixp2745 Absolutely, Larian was very generous with the items we can get, especially in act 3 as you said. I was just wondering because I was thinking of possibly doing my own solo playthrough as a sort of challenge run. Have you done any other "challenge" type runs or do you have any ideas for any?

@@toshom Of course you can do solo run only ability checks will need some work. My suggestion, be a bard and paladin. You can always respec and have that best strategy. As charisma is important ability for these two classes. Alert feat to get first turn for current version of game. I usually do '0 damage' challenge. It is not dark souls community here but it is fun. :)

@@amixp2745 Thanks so much for the advice! The 0 damage definitely sounds interesting and appeals to the Dark Souls lover in me. The Souls games were my first introduction to challenge runs and I've done multiple across all of From Software's "souls" titles(except Sekiro, never got around to finishing it) and BG3 seems like a good next step for challenge runs, lol.

@@toshom A fellow challenge admirer I see. To do no damage run in Dark Souls game needs lot of hours ( I have read 3 K to 5K hours from dark souls 3 player)to learn moveset, memorise, practice & then find correct set up to suit playstyle. Amazing when you accomplish it. So far I did Dragon's Dogma, XCOM 2, Divinity Original Sin 2 and currently BG 3. Tactical games needs lot of planning. And once you find perfect strategy it is unbreakable. As I focus on strategy which removes random elements.

From level 11 & onward battlemaster can hit thrice with an action. Haste gives second action.
