No, 5.1 is great even at huge distances now, you could go as far as you want, hundreds of miles, (until it all becames a dot) and never have any problem, any pop up. You can adjust the distance at which the trees lose their leaves, for example. The guy is yet learning... try other videos.

@@smanzoli yes preserve area did fix the issue but at large distances with certain lighting conditions you get a lot of noise and shimmers from the leaves.. This will be better in the future when 3D modellers make new foliage and trees with nanite in mind, meaning they make the leaves bigger to avoid the issue listed above..
