A caster build (magic, pyro, cleric, etc.) is definitely harder kind of build. Not only do you have to manage another resource (FP) but also spell/miracle/pyro loadouts. Switching to the right spell for the right situation in the moment is another layer of complexity added on top. It's the kind of playthrough that definitely warrants a more strategic approach, not at all like just swinging around a hunk of metal, you really have to think it through. On the one hand you do have the advantage of range and it's all too convenient to just often spam spells. A lot of fun though. Doesn't take long to get accustomed to the new way of combat; cycling through spells, using a catalyst to cast, etc. But definitely would not recommend it for anyone's first playthrough.

All phantoms come in with half their flask allotment, whether they're invaders or allies.

Good job on defeating that red. He must've been pissed haha. Definitely a griefer. What with his slow walk, parrying caestus, and backstab fishing. Pity players like that ruin it for the rest of us. I invade and get invaded regularly but when I see a host disconnect to send me back to my world I get it, I've been there. By the way, you can get a Seed of a Giant from the giant tree at Firelink Shrine. If you pop one of those while an invader is in your world the hostile mobs turn against them. Another thing, your UGS true combos, so if you hit anyone once you'll get a guaranteed follow up attack. Latency aside, and as long as you have the stamina, dealing with invaders becomes a little easier knowing you can do big damage with those guaranteed double hits, especially when punishing those estus chugs.

The Dancer is my absolute favorite enemy! She tends to fight rhythmically different to most of the other bosses which is so fun to experience. And she just looks awesome 👏🏻

1:33 Those are multiplayer hot zones. As you progress throughout the game certain areas will correspond with a certain level range. This is also known as a summoning range for multiplayer co-op but applies to pvp as well. If you're too under- or over-levelled for a given area you can actually miss the activity in these zones. Those symbols, by the way, are actually embers although you'd be forgiven for thinking they were stool samples.

When they both have orange/red health you could use Magic burst and kill them. But I prefer your ending xD

If you're embered AND online you can get invaded. Red invader was just a normal invader/dark spirit. Purple invaders were Aldrich Faithfuls (covenant), they automatically invade embered players in this area if they have that covenant equipped. That Red didn't seem to realise you can't parry someone when they're holding an Ultra GS 2 handed. First Aldrich Faithful used a dagger with Quick Step to get behind you for that first backstab, the second backstab he managed to get because he locked off of you before rolling in. And yea, FromSoft uses P2P networking so latency is a major component/issue. Not really lag so much (that packet loss), unless the connection is really bad, but more latency (ping). But what that means is if you've got a high lat connection to someone (maybe they're in Japan) you're going to be getting hit by stuff that should've completely whiffed. Annoying AF, but you've got to factor that into the gameplay. But it does mean you can hardly really on combat fundamentals like spacing, timing, baiting, and whiffing, micro spacing is not an option either which makes all those other aforementioned fundamentals even more difficult to leverage.

Yea, it's poise, Black Knights have extremely high poise, some of the highest for a humanoid enemy in the game. But it's also the hyper armour they get when they swing their weapon (benefit of a Str build), Tsorig was actually getting staggered on one 2-handed attack of your UGS because it was doing more poise damage than his total poise. The heavy-stagger on his standard 2-handed attack is wild though, even with an UGS he can still true combo you with the follow-up (because heavy-stagger) and then it's usually always RIP. Stupid fact: you can actually block the lava with a shield. Use a shield with high fire damage absorption for best results (hey you actually just got one of those shields).
