the last time i went to guitar center there was a 20 inch k cluster crash being used as a ride on the store kit and i bought a 20 dollar B8 splash that was so dry it sounded like a pot lid
I agree to the studio application. a snare is gonna ring til you lasso it & make it behave! lol in time, you may decide you like it? Since going to open jams and the host drums provided have more sustain than what I'd lived with my '74 Ludwig's drum sound with 2ply hydraulic Evans heads since I took outer heads off as soon as I got em. Mine sounded like cardboard boxes After hearing those live drums with both heads "breathing". I used to tune mine in descending minor thirds. Ultimately, how it sounds for the space or venue whether it be outside, small club, studio or whatever wherever it's how YOU feel about it that matters most. thanks for asking my opinion!
Doesn't sound bad, controlled enough for small recording things. How I tune my Tom's is by singing happy birthday. Tune the top head the pitch you want then start that note by singing "happy" Then tune the bottom head on the "Birth" note. I know it sounds wierd and I hope I explained it but it give a round sound without too much resonance. Hope this helps!

I love that! the range of that is amazing from the highs of the sizzle to that open clash splashy sound.
I agree!

From what I can hear the toms and kick are pretty great. Snare sounds a little thin to me, maybe the wires are too tight? I'm not entirely sure.
this is a re upload. 😅😅😅 my channel got hacked sooooo
