I hate being a teacher. The main reason is the administration. I'm in a job where they haven't given me a curriculum or any resources to use in the classroom, no textbooks, no teacher's book, NOTHING!! I'm so sick of being put in a conversation class with no resources and I'm expected to teach these kids. Get me a fucking textbook to use with them, something!! FUCKING ANYTHING!! 😢😢😢 I want to kill myself I hate this job so much!!😢😢😢

I swear your name is ms faith for a reason .. as I watch this video I’m charging my phones up my bags is packed I’m currently living in a small town for 2 yrs now and I feel like I outgrew this place yet my bf is choosing not to leave and better himself and that’s his business .. I’m leaving in 2 hrs literally idk how this video found me .. but I feel like I’m suffocating… thank uuuuuuuu for making this video I’m driving straight to nyc .. and yes it does limit u I don tryed alll the jobs here are tooken bye the old ppl they won’t retire ..I’m left with overwhelming bills and having to settle at somebody grocery store or warehouse … I’m out !!! I also did a interview for a job in nyc and did a virtual interview and got hired soooo simply you’ll feel nervous at first but for the most part I got a high I can’t explain I feel free I spent a year deciding if I should do this and the universe sent me all the signs and I ignored it at first but consistently trying to find jobs nothing worked so I reached out to family in nyc I was overwhelmed with support if u get the feeling to leave do it !!!!

Life is life-ing right now but Im definitely being reminded to get back to the basics & continuing to show up for myself as well. I needed to hear this. I am 35 years old and I am nowhere near being successful. Went to college big mistake and got a useless degree which was in Social Work. I really dislike being a teacher. And it is so hard to get out of this field. I am doing the best I can to get into Nursing school and I have no clue how I'm going to pay for it when I do get accepted. And I'm like God help me please to get out of this teaching field. Because I am very unhappy. @ItsMsFaith

Most people do fine if they have a family that’s worth working for. Lotta people aren’t creating families these days and so they have a lot of time to reflect and ruminate. And as a result, you have a lot of unhappy people out there

All Facts! I am a veteran in the education field and there is more nepotism, greed, jealousy, and envy in education! I have one more year and I’m out!!!

I can relate to so much of what you are saying. I am a 20-year veteran teacher, and I am on my last leg. Seriously, this horse is ready to be taken out to pasture. It's one year at a time because I'm over it all. The Department of Education, the district, admin and my co-workers looking to put band aids on gushing wounds. We are all just hamsters in wheels running and going nowhere. As teachers we are told that it's about the kids, but it's not. Education is about money. It's a business --how to save money (broken sinks, roach and mice infested buildings, broken HVAC units, etc.), how to make money (selling the curriculum, etc.) For years, money for teacher raises was used to recruit Central Office workers from other districts. They used our money to match or exceed salaries for these new people! People are like, "Why are you complaining? You got a raise." "No, actually, I didn't see any of that money." Finally, it was mandated that money for teacher raises had to be used for that purpose and we all ended up with an $8000-$10, 000 salary increase. Since so many teachers are not certified (long term subs, associate teachers, provisional teachers, etc.) veterans like me get dumped on. These teachers can only do so much because they are not licensed. This just the tip of the iceberg. If you're not a teacher, you will never understand how HORRIBLE the field of education can be.

What state were you teaching in?

I’m struggling with getting out of the teaching field. I feel like I am not good enough to get into a high paying field. I am so tired and drained everyday. This has affected me mentally and emotionally. I am in school taking my pre reqs before applying to nursing school. If I get into nursing school. I am quitting the education field. It’s no money at all. I don’t even have a relationship no date nights. I really hate my life. But I feel like I have no options at all. I don’t want to be a certified teacher at all. I live with my parents because I am not earning enough money to have my own place. I’m getting paid the same from month to month. And it’s making me sick mentally and physically. I’m afraid if I quit the teaching field. I am going to be out of a job for months . I can’t go into nursing because I am not in nursing school or have I taken the NCLEX yep. I feel like I have settled for less.

I can relate to almost EVERYTHING you've stated in the video- minus the intense behaviors since I teach Elementary, but yo the colleagues part and seeing ppl look like you whom you aspire to be like be THEE most disappointing. I5 1/2 years in and I'm seriously considering throwing in the towel... I just dunno if I have it in my anymore b/c at the end of the day, I'm educated and qualified, this is for the kids, smdh!!...I wish you well on your endeavors. (I'll give you a follow :)

I'm a paraprofessional at an elementary school working one on one with an artistic 8 yo who cannot read. I could not overstand why reading was not a priority for student from Spced teacher. I asked teacher if i could teach letter sounds to start 2, 3, and 4 letter words and she agreed to it. I'm not a teacher I'm not a mother and I advocated for this child and the teacher agreed. But why wasn't this a priority. I work 6.5 and this student probably got 1 hour if real academic work. The rest of the day was recess and classes that didn't benefit him because nit able to read. Also during the school year i heard a student say school is a drag. Then i dont understand why students are taught SEL but don't demonstrate it towards each other.
