I like the concept
The final boss
Next time you make one make it with 2in or bigger pipe. I'm going to make one like you have but with a 3" piece of steel pipe. Then you can plumb a fan on one end and get more heat volume.
I agree 👍
Here’s a more efficient way to heat your body during the winter. Wear pants with your winter coat and boots. Instead of sneakers and shorts
u just keep the doors open? y?
Did I miss material listt? Can this be use on gas burning fireplace from 80s?
It should be fine to use with that, just use safety measures. It's all pipe and the blower.
"free heat" - runs fan
More 'efficient' by leaving the doors wide open allowing the vast majority of the heat just race up the chimney like a standard open fire....🙄
Awesome and easy cool thanks for the idea bless
Add a drescher external combustion air pipe and you're going to get a lot more efficiency
Heat rises so if you put the pipes going in at the bottom and you have them coming out the top it’ll generate a flow of heat without a motor.
Great demo. Much appreciated
Great idea i have the same problem.
So do I
Just what I was hoping to find. I need a materials list. I have a local welder who can build it
Seems to me that you could get much more volume using a hair dryer and a better connection
I'm using 4" pipe ... will that work?
I guess you could, but I personally would not.
It's actually 3 1/2" steel pipe. I wish you had elaborated on why you wouldn't use bigger pipe. But thank you for the idea. I'm going to build one.
You would need a strong enough "blower" source to push through a larger pipe. And I would not use a hair dryer.
Iron Sharpens what type of pipe did you use? Aluminum or what? Also do you think gas pipe would work…I don’t own a welder. Thanks
I used mild steel. Using schedule 80 would be better. Gas pipe may work but I haven't used it.
@@ironsharpens5677 got it. Thanks for the response!
Why not use threaded black pipe like the pipe for gas lines
Bravo, great idea man! how did you manage to join the iron with the round metal pipe?
Great idea! Any ideas on how to do the fan part without electricity? Also, I know duct venting is a lot bigger, but do you think it would also work or is the metal not heat stable enough? Thanks from an interested newbie.
Do not use ductwork it is to thin. You would need electricity to run the blower.
You could use a solar panel to power the blower.
Get a battery mattress inflator !
Thats called Hillbilly rigging. What a genius way to cause a fire and burn your house down.I am impressed. There should be patten on this. And his family din t approve of this?
Not saying your wrong, just curious how this could be any more dangerous than the commercial blowers out there of similar design?
Dude I have to hand it to you, you knocked it outa the park. Thanks
This is too much..information for a short time...full package. Thanks 👌😊🙏
Great 👍 Please any contact to linkup for more questions. 🙏thanks educative
Awesome thanks. Maurice )
Hey brother, I found this really helpful in my search. God bless.
That's great to hear! God bless you also!
ultimate idea boss
Use computer fans
I love it
It will work without a fan, because hot air rises.
I've been thinking of something like this but with multiple tubes
A faster way to burn down your house. Are you two related?
Amazing idea with no cost .
Great idea
How do you find someone to build you this pipe ?
Look for a steel fabricator in your area.
@@ironsharpens5677 thanks
Not sure it would pass any safety checks but I think it's very interesting and can see how it would work, great idea whoever had it.
I feel like this would ruin the fire place a little bit. I mean the sounds from fireplace are satisfying and nice but the blower is not what i really want to hear when at home. Interesting concept tho I agree.
@@estonsman4566 problem with fireplace is it's not efficient at all in terms of wood utilization or even heat. They are nice but only provide a minimum heat, air and heat go right up the chimney. This is why inserts and stand alone stoves are added to fireplaces in the first place. But you are correct in that even a decent insert put into a fireplace needs a blower and as you said, they make noise. A formal blower on an insert isn't as loud as putting some sort of DIY blower such as this example. My preference is a stand alone added to a fireplace, the issue with that is code, you need to build out the bottom stonework etc. to achieve full 16 or more inches needed to cover any coals hitting floors. I think it's worth it to install additional tiles on the floor to expand the front and put a stand alone right in there, with that for light fires and open flame you can use a screen and leave the doors open.
Great Idea, Thanks I'm doing it!! What type/thickness pipe was used. Thanks
@@hopester0217 probably sch40
@@hopester0217if you made it with small baffles to hold heat while air comes thru, would be a better design. Basically getting a pipe hot then running a plastic blower thru it. Not a great design
Очень хорошо! Хороший вариант!!! ЛАЙК!!!
This was very detailed and informative. Thank you!!👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Well done.
Need to tell that bird to quiet down
This is not work a long time.
