It's a long story. The mower originally came with a Briggs QUANTUM 60 which was a great motor but unfortunately the crank broke.. I managed to get a Briggs 625 to replace it, but the output shaft was shorter so the blade always sat too high and didn't cut well. That motor eventually developed trouble starting, so rather than fix it I decided to swap in the Honda which I got off a second hand mower for cheap 👍

Thanks. The grass was already quite short, but longer in some sections. I was asked not to take too much off , so only took about 1-2 cm off 👍

I love the Masport because its so fun to use and it's just so overpowered. But the Toro cuts so well, and makes the grass look really nice. I really can't decide 🤔

I'm loving the Masport mower with the Honda engine and the Stihl trimmer 👍

I like my black and decker electric blower too. Good for the garden and drying the car after a wash 👍

Hey mate, I do plan to do a similar job this year. I have to remove the clippings though, so I can get the top soil even and into the core holes.

Maintenance and durability are no problem. OEM parts are quite expensive if there is no aftermarket alternative though. They are great bikes with real soul and character, especially compared to a Japanese bike.

The Toro has been quite reliable lately. But I definitely agree with the reliability of Honda! Recently put a Honda engine on one of my push mowers and it runs like a dream 👍
