Seeing this gives me goosebumps but makes me think… don’t call the 4 door sedan a Mustang. Mustang for 60 years was built off of being a coupe, the same car influenced so many manufacturers to build something similar (Camaro, Firebird, Nissan Z, Celica etc) and they never stayed as strong. Mustang isn’t just a name or badge. Mustang is the only car that shares a legendary status with names like the 911 and Corvette. Even Porsche has stayed true to the 911 and gave the other cars different names. The Falcon would be a perfect running mate with the Pony, bringing it full circle. Falcon was loved with different engine options, body styles, has its own heritage/racing pedigree, and pop culture stamp with the Last of the V8 Interceptors. 4 door Falcon to take on Europe’s finest and the Mustang sports car to continue leading globally.

Good deal Jim. Thats the way you build brand loyalty! I just picked up a lightly used 23 Lightning Platinum. I LOVE this truck. The power, the smoothness the quietness. Everything about this truck is great! I am 60 now and have been a gearhead since I was a kid. Had all kinds of bitchen rides way back when. Including a 300 hp 02 Turbo Focus ZX3. What a blast to drive. Sleeper! But this lightning, blows them all away.

I started as a new sales person at a dealer a few weeks ago and drove the lightning off road for the first time yesterday. It was absolutely amazing. It actually did better on all the obstacles then all the other trucks I drove on the same surfaces and obstacles. It's a shame my sales manager won't let us promote them. He's actually doing all the exact opposite of what I've been learning to do in stars and ford university. These lightnings are a great product. Is Ford doing anything to make sure dealer franchises are promoting these as they should?

So great to see the interaction and taking the feedback back to HQ. My family actually had vowed to never buy a Ford back in 1989 when we had so much trouble with my now wife’s vehicle and the poor response from the dealership. That was until the MachE came out. I got my first one in July 2022. Then had it totaled in October of 2023. Was able to get a replacement 2023 model (unfortunately no longer with my 3 year BlueCruise service but only a 90 day trial).

SOO glad you made this roadtrip, especially w/ your son, and got to experience the CCS charging challenges... and here we are, three months later, and FORD is now first on TESLA supercharging network- fixing most all of those challenges! So great of you, and for your company, dealers, and customers, to get this real-world experience and suggestions, and as you said, make that human connection and encourage and improve the needed coming changes. My first car was a Ford, and my family owns a Mach-E now too, we also have Tesla and Rivian... the main thing for Ford to catch up on now, compared to those two, is software and OTA updates. Still not as smooth and frictionless as those leaders... but you have Ford on the right path to catch up. Very proud and glad to see someone like you helping lead Ford to the future. Thanks and keep it up!! Get more videos and interviews out there! It shows the difference of you and Ford!

These guys are why I’m thinking switching to Toyota. How do win the pony car wars and stop making mustangs? How do you take the best vehicle ever built( F150’s from Mullaly days) into a rolling recall POS. How can you sell Broncos and Mavericks like hotcakes, but keep the stock worthless. These idiots are politicians now.

I sat next to Bill Jr. in Advanced Vehicles for a couple of weeks when he first started at Ford. To answer Jim's question, Bill's first company car when he joined Ford was a candy-apple green metallic 1979 Mercury Capri (also not a production color). I never knew it was a throw back to his first Mustang. BTW - the paint stayed on the Capri when it was snowing in the Design Center parking lot. I was always impressed by Bill's friendly and outgoing nature, especially given that his name was on the building (and even the staplers). Great interview.
