Thank you so much for you video. I was able to get my singer sewing machine working again.
Thanks, very helpful
Thank you for this video. The fuses needed to be replaced as my machine is 17 years old. My husband and I were able to easily follow your video ro replace the fuses. The hard part was finding the fuses that were finally found and shipped from Toronto. I needed fuse FB 3.15A 250 v 5 x 20 mm and since we were replacing one we also replaced the other fuse 2.5 A 250 v. The fuses plus shipping only cost me a little over $25.00. I love this machine and needed to finish my Christmas sewing. Thanks so much for your help.😊
I’m so happy it helped you. For future reference, a three amp fuse from the hardware store is all you need, and you only need to replace the top fuse.
so nice thank it helped a lot, is actually also relaxing to watch!
good tutorial but the video quality its really it should be at least 720
I have to pay for the storage of the video, which can add up when posting several long format videos. I think most people can get the gist of what is going on.
Thanks so much.
You're welcome!
Great video. Thank You so much!
Thank you. This was helpful. I was afraid I would have to take the whole shaft out of the top.
Nice video plz make more af small repair on old pfaff 545 and 145
I plan to.
Could you help me out about timing the front foot and where to loosen the ecentric on the shaft that controls the front foot on a 545 h3
Can u show how to time a pfaff 145h4 please
I am not able to do that at the moment, but essentially you need to SLIGHTLY loosen the two set screws on the vertical gear under the hook assembly, at the far left end of the drive shaft. Move the gear to the left so that it disengages from the horizontal gear that it is meshed with (don't take it all the way off). Turn the hook with your fingers to the correct spot in relation to the needle while the needle is moving in its upstroke (1.5 mm above the top of the eye of the needle). Then move the vertical back to mesh with the horizontal gear and tighten the set screws. Check that the timing is correct by turning the hand wheel back and forth. If not, try again. Note that one of the two set screws on the vertical gear is tightened down on a flat spot on the drive shaft. That is why it is important to only slightly loosen the set screws.
Look for this video :::: Pfaff 145 bis Pfaff 545, Von Grund auf einstellen;;;; its german but its about all timing on pfaff 145
@@heilmannsvej I watched all the videos and didn't see anything about timing the hook it had other helpful hints thank you
There are a part 1 and a part 2@@soldiercoleone
@@heilmannsvej yeah i watched both parts
From what I've read, with the thread take up lever in the highest position, the bottom of the presser foot (the foot the needle goes through) should be level with the top of the walking/feeding foot or slightly below the top of the walking/feeding foot. In a video for another walking foot machine, see how the height of the presser foot compares to the walking foot ua-cam.com/video/ZFo5OyBeYVw/v-deo.html
