Annie👍👍❤️
Where tf are people getting these tracks?
Andrew designed and machined the tracks himself from 6061 aluminum. Here is a longer video that shows a little more about the construction. ua-cam.com/video/mlkUUxkx6CQ/v-deo.html
Tank? Or tracked vehicle? 😉 Nice build though! 👍🏻
Since this video, Andrew has added outer sheetmetal. He plans to add a cannon, but hasn't got permission from the Pentagon yet. ;-).
16 tons was written by Merle Travis not Ernie Ford. Ernie Ford popularized the song and sang, in my opinion, the definitive version.
Good catch! Thanks, it’s mis-attributed on the web where I saw it. I’ll fix my title and description. 👍
I used to eat my lunch in front of the TV at noon when The Tennessee Ernie Ford Show came on. I would have been 4-6, so '65-ish?
I just looked it up. I would have been watching reruns.
My son Andrew, seen here at age 12 on bass, kept on playing. Last week, he made his debut playing bass and singing on the Grand Ole Opry with Crying Uncle Bluegrass Band! 🙂
A killdozer gives birth to his own child!
Guitar is fantastic, nice job
Thanks, That’s Ian Ly, 2023 National Flatpicking Champion. 😊
I should add that I thought all of it was fantastic, these guys rip.
@@JB-oc1jq Thanks very much! Proud Papa here- that's my son Andrew on bass and lead vocals. The band is making their debut next month (Feb 9th, 2024) on the Grand Ole Opry! 😊
Boys have gown into young men . Great job!
What a geat band and story. How inspiring! (think I'll go practice some more!)
Exciting!
Woah, self made tank tracks. They are working and even look cool. Congratulations👏. In my opinion tracks are the most difficult part of a tracked vehicle to make. ... Wonder how long that little lawnmower differentiel will last though.🤔
Thanks for sharing!
Keep your hands inside the vehicle, and on your musical instruments at all times…😆🥰
Hey it’s Rolando…! I know that guy…
Nice ...... VW Van! Oooooo, and the tank tooooo! 🤣👍 When is the next update hmmmmmm! 😁
tanks and bluegrass, amazing combination
Sorry can't like this video because you didn't show how it was built or any mechanics. You could have bought it, or maybe your uncle built it. People that have built something are proud & would show what they had to go through to do this.
This video was actually a rough draft of a slightly longer video here: ua-cam.com/video/mlkUUxkx6CQ/v-deo.html . I didn't expect this version to get so many views. The longer video has much more on construction.
I love that
Homeland Security has joined the chat
I know this is a little late but merry Christmas to you too
all people fear the dude in crocs with his homemade tank
Any sources to help track design
This version has a little on track building. The segments were CNC machined, scaled down and roughly patterned on WWII era track designs. ua-cam.com/video/mlkUUxkx6CQ/v-deo.html
0:36 alright babe, I'll pick you up at 7!
Hey it's cool make me a slightly bigger one
What brand are those tracks?
Custom designed. Andrew designed the track segments in a CAD program, modeling after WWII style tracks. He then machined the segments (about 200) from 6061 Aluminum using a CNC milling machine. The segments hook together using long 5/16” bolts.
amazed and impressed with your design skills motivation and perseverance
Will he make the flies/plans available for others to build something similar?
Зачем тебе гусеницы по асфальту, объясни мне- тупому!!!
Good job brother
Скажите пожалуйста как он поворачивает ?
Probably a brake system causing one track to break that makes the other drive with unbalanced force with makes it turn
French in ww2 be like
That was wonderful, Joe! Thank you and congratulations! Pat Godinez
FABULOUS.....! Simply wonderful playing...

"From the moment i understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me."
LMAO!
Nive video frend sharing
🆒!!!
Very nice, how does it steer, is it a differential and two brakes?
yes, it is a simple lawnmower transaxle, which has an open differential. There are 2 brakes, one on each side which can be independently operated.
@@aorocks7241 Thank you, it is an effective steering system, but have you experienced it steering on its own when one track drives over a rock for example?
@@oxi8403 yes, the braked differential steering system has many problems, though I have experienced forced steering the most when one track binds up or breaks, rather than less even terrain, though the tank will drift slightly to one side almost constantly.
Killdozer prototype
No

Now that's cool!!!
Great work Joe !! Can you share the cad files for your project ? It looks very interesting. Thanks in advance
Hello Vidio oke love❤️❤️❤️❤️from indonesia
Hi, is it possible to get some details about the built like frame, engines, trsnsmission .... Thanks in advance
The engine is an 18 horsepower briggs and stratton engine. The tranmission was an old spicer lawnmower transaxle, but is not a peerless 820 mower transaxle. The frame is made from 1x2 steel tubing and 1x1 steel tubing. It also uses some L shaped pieces.
Nice looking machine , I am building a smaller version about the size of yours for a miniature tank buster it will be remote control, armed with a mini cannon and a full auto paintball gun for our mini tank battles.(coming soon). Looks like you my have the same video up twice .
Thanks for the note! What you are building sounds great! Yeah, I put the video up and then made some revisions and posted again. Since the old video link was used in some college applications with no way to revise them, I had to leave both videos up.
