The BEST Mountain Bike Flow Trails in Arizona?
Went up to Prescott, Arizona to check out the Bean Peaks gravity flow trail system. I had a lot of fun and would definitely recommend checking it out! My favorites were Jelly Bean, Magic Bean, and Beany Baby.

What's up?! I just picked up a 2023 Yeti SB140 Lunch Ride (LR) T3 and it is AWESOME! Here are my first impressions and my first ride with it. More to come once I get some more time in the saddle. Do you think this could be the best all around trail/enduro mountain bike? Let me know!

Took a day trip to get out of the summer heat. Hit up Sedona, Arizona for some awesome mountain biking. Still learning how to mountain bike and tried my hand at Adobe Jack, Andante, Teacup, and Thunder Mountain. Great challenge and now I have a couple goals to crush. Check it out! Easy DIY Decorative Hexagon Shelves

I made use of some old scrap plywood to make these hexagon honeycomb shelves. I didn't want them to look too clean, so I kept everything pretty rough with some light sanding. Finished them off with a little stain and some wax. Hope you enjoy!

i can tell the first good rain on these trails did some work on it. i was there few weeks ago and it was still super smooth and even powdery in some places.

i've found that after being there twice, i'd prefer to start at hub 2 and just ride magic and spicy for a few runs. the upper trails (imo) are not worth the ~2.5 mile climb - for sure ride them all, then determine what's fun for YOU, but i did Cool beans and prolly wont ride it again. just doesn't do it for me (however that big rock roller is cool).
@@mikestivers8302 that seems to be the consensus about this place. Have you been out to Full Sail yet it Flag? I’ve heard it’s pretty good and the dirt is better.

I really enjoyed watching that. Thanks. The reason I did watch it was watching you “Learn to Mountain Bike”. I’ve been thinking about getting back into it. I hung my bike after a nasty spill in Moab 30 years ago. I wasn’t ready for that place. Now that I’m 55 (with the heart of a 35-40 year old) I wonder if I *could* get back into this. But, I enjoyed it regardless.

It is so awesome to see you supporting the kids on the trail in such a positive manor. Not everyone feels the same when there are groups of kids on the trail. Great video!
Thanks! Love seeing kids out enjoying and experiencing the outdoors. Reminds me of how I grew up. I’ll always support that over shoving a tablet in a kids face any day.

Great video dude! That looks like a good place to practice things repetitively which isn’t’ super easy to do down in PHX. Bean Peaks just opened a few weeks ago in Prescott and that place is pretty fun and if you go earlier in the day it’s still in the 70s🤙 super flowy with berms and jumps, very fun

This makes me want to mountain bike, getting to the top of the trail does not.
🤣 right there with you. This place luckily has a super mild 3 mile switchback climb to the top, so it’s not too bad.

How did you prep it before painting? Did you shellac it first then sand and hit it with raptor liner? (saw it under the work bench i think)
I ended up just sanding and using rustoleum pro liner. I really didn’t like the way the raptor liner reacted with wood (I used it on the inside of the drawers). Never ended up making a video because there wasn’t much content for it. Just be careful if you go a spray liner route make sure you let it off gas long enough because it was smelly
@@ExploreLifeWithDaniel thanks dude! Didn't bother using primer or shellac beforehand? Was it thick enough I assume to hide the grain then?
Oh yeah the roll on stuff was plenty thick. I liked the texture because it was durable but not rubbery or sand paper like. Because the stuff I used was epoxy based I didn’t see a benefit to using a clear coat or base coat before.
I am sure you tried to make it simple, but I am lost at 2:30 . Wish you could explain instead of playing music.

If you look in the beginning of the video around :57 you will see a 30 degree cut through the mark on his stock........this is saved.... after the second 30 degree cut you don't move your stock and hold it in place the the off cut made at the :57 second mark.....the extra boards are just used to hold the off-cut in place by the clamp.....you then simply rotate your stock after each 30 degree cut counter clockwise. If your measurements are correct you will make 3 cuts on each coaster ......sometimes if you are off a little it will take 4 cuts and still turn out fine

The bottom horizontal piece looks like it’s sagging the the picture. Might need a little extra support for those tools
That plywood was all kinds of wavy! I’ve got two wheels in the middle of the bottom for extra support. Haven’t had an issue yet since I’ve got drawers installed

Thankx for the video. Once you cut the first one, the number after that is only limited by the length of the board you cut the first one from.......been using a slight variation of this method for years. Don't know why you see so many complicated jigs on the internet and cumbersome time consuming methods for cutting a hexagon. You can modify this cut and make other cool items too! Make some more videos!

It was 4 1/2 inches, they ended up giving me a size that was reasonable for most cup sizes including normal sized mugs

Nothing like doing it the hard way
The thing that’s really winning me over with this design is the storage for the oscillating spindle/belt sander underneath. I very well might settle on your design for my small shop. Thanks for the video, looking forward to part 3!
Great build, Daniel! I need a solution for my planer/jointer and I really like this design. It's similar to Tommy's from One Minute Workbench, but I like how this one is a little simpler (no electrical/dust collection). I love how much storage you get with this unit. Can't wait to see more!

What do you think of your Wahada jointer after using it for this long? Have you had any problems or things that you wish were different with it? Thinking of buying one....but worry about it's small size and motor output compared to a floor standing jointer.
If you have the means to buy a full size jointer, do it. The benchtop jointer will never really compete with a full-size. I like the Wahuda, I think it has plenty of power for its size, but I am conservative and take shallow cuts. The fence and it’s adjustment could be much better and it’s extremely challenging to get the tables level (but that seems to be normal across the board). The finish off the cutter heads is excellent and I think for its size/price it’s an excellent choice.
Good job so far. I look forward to seeing the completed project and future builds.

Looks like you copied this "Dual Tool Stand" from "One Minute Workbench" ua-cam.com/video/zsB9iXAQ7As/v-deo.html And that plywood is to warped to make anything that will be plumb, level and square...maybe that's why you never did post part 2
I do like his build, it has way more to it than mine, that’s for sure. Believe it or not, even with the warped boards, I haven’t had any issues with the drawers working. The video is coming soon when I can get away from work!
