Valkyrie Jam 2024

Valkyrie Jam is a ten-day game jam for women and non-binary game developers. 2024 edition was the fifth run at the ancient Peetgården in Sävast, Boden.
Started by Jenny Nordenborg in 2018, it has grown with each iteration and features international talent with star developers from all sorts of well-known games, both big AAA and smaller Indie titles.

"Boden är verkligen en spelutvecklarstad i dag" Möt Peter Zetterberg, till vardags på Microsoft i Seattle, men även medgrundare till Wanderword i Sävast. Peter såg potentialen i spelindustrin i Boden och valde att etablera sitt nya bolag här snarare än någon annanstans. Wanderword har i dag cirka 25 medarbetare varav många utbildat sig på Boden Gamecamp hos oss på Boden Business Park.

På Boden Gamecamp har QA/Game Tester-studenter fått testa att samarbeta med Indie Game Developer-studenter mycket tätare och tidigare i processen än vanligt. "Vi ser sånt som de inte har tänkt på", säger Lova Lehnberg som pluggar QA/Game Tester.
