Just a guy with a lot of games, figured I would stream for those to watch and be entertained. No real schedule for uploads as of yet

Welcome to the casually insane panic that is Pacific Drive.
how can I put this on the GUI layer?
A few ways to interpret that; first theirs a layers section towards the left of the screen by default and you should be able to add a new instance layer and name it GUI. Second to make it follow your camera like a health bar in a corner, you can: add a draw event but leave it blank and then add a draw GUI event and insert draw_self() as the first line. This will draw the object as a GUI and then you should be able to position it in a corner like most health bars in the room tab. This will follow the camera position. Third If you want it above the player specifically then you could just do x = obj_player.x; y=obj_player.y; in the step event. Then add or subtract by a number to set them with an offset in case they aren't exactly where you want them. Ex: If you want it to be higher than the player, do something like y=Obj_player-32. And that'll offset it 32 pixels above the player. Then you just play with the numbers until it aligns nicely where you want it. This will follow the player position
@@Jamer125 Thanks a lot. This tutorial was extraordinary by the way. Quality stuff
Not bad. Obviously still needs work, but a decent showcase
