You need to understand there is a difference between personal concealed acting as church "security ". As securitu you may be involved in a physical altercation were leathal force ais not appropriate, I would definitely want a retention holster, whatever brand works for you. If you do use your firearm, you could face a very anti gun anti Christian D.A., having a retention holster is less likely to be used against you, but no guarantee. I fell that there are a lot more factors to consider when acting in an " official " capacity.
*Level 2, you don't want that thing dropping out in a crowd if you have to bend over and move weird.*
@m4rvinmartian I agree with you on the point. A good level one should hold a gun in upside down with slight shaking. So good retention is a must.
SERPA can be good if you’re aware of the possible hazards and is fairly concealable. I don’t think they offer it in compact light bearing options. I like the leather pancake style with thumb break if you need a concealed level 2.
*I have no idea when/where the Serpa hate started. As far as "plastic" holsters, I use them almost exclusively.* Do people not inspect their holsters when they get them, and figure out how they work???

Amen Brother ! Most Christians are afraid to Speak out in public ! So every one did and a couple them said that's you ! I stood up and said I'm a Miracle & Blessing from God to be Alive Today ! I was the first one called back to see the doctor and I stood up and said God Bless You All ! Stay Safe & Heathy ! And Have Blessed Rest of Your Day ! In Jesus Christ, I Pray ! Amen ! I Believe in the Power of Prayer and Have Faith in the Power Prayer for Healing ! Not 2 weeks after telling my Testimony , a 12 yr. old Girl came running up to me at a Carnival , She said your Wade and I said Yes I'am , She said I seen your video Testimony , I was Surprised her coming out in Public and asking me that and I said to her , what did you think of it , these are Her words , She said if You didn't Believe in God before you watched it , You Believed in in God After you watched it ! I said what do You mean by that ? She said in the Bible , it's says how Jesus touched the blind man and then He could See . She said When you was shot and collapsed and passed out and came to and opened your eyes and couldn't See and you Prayed and passed out again and came to the second time and could See ! She said Only God Can Do That ! I broke down Crying and Hugged Her ! When she was saying all this she was Excited and not Quite ! She drew a Crowd and some of them came up to me afterwards and said they seen my video Testimony and said it was Amazing ! Sorry for Rambling ! Stay Safe & Healthy ! God Bless !
I had the exact same feeling watching that video. If I was making a video prior to a certain death I would begging and pleading with anyone willing to watch to put their faith in Jesus. I would be telling anyone willing to listen about what my wonderful Savior has done in my life and what he can do for you and how excited I am to be meeting him in person so soon. What a missed opportunity.
@s13iLLuminati What would be really sad is going through the pain and suffering of cancer and dying and snap your in hell. Having that happen when God gave you over 6 months to consider and look for the answer to that problem. JESUS

Based on what you didn't say, my guess is that the trainer feels that the skill level of the volunteers is lacking and to err on the side of caution; recommended the bulky holsters. From a liability standpoint it's probably easier for the church to argue against the negligence of volunteers with level 2 holsters versus 1.
@hansgruber6381 It's a loaded topic. Level 2 holsters under clothing is asking to be shot before you can draw the weapon. If the skill level of the volunteers is lacking, and we know a lot of times, it is. Most people shoot less than 100 rounds a year. But if skill is lacking, we ask them to conceal carry a weapon and have them to clear garments and push a button to take down a threat who already has their gun in hand and pointed at you makes no sense to me.
@Heteachethmyhandstowar << tactically speaking I agree with you. What I think the trainer is thinking is that there's a higher chance of accidents with level 1 holsters and that the potential for damage outweighs the tactical advantage, thus he recommends the tactically inferior holster.
@hansgruber6381 I agree with that. If I am going to put myself in harms way for free, I want any tactical advantage I can get. Otherwise, I will just sit with my family and protect them with whatever holster and gun I want to take down a threat.
@hansgruber6381 I could be wrong about this, but if a church or instructor is more worried about the legal liability of a church than the safety and protection of its free volunteers, that would be very wrong. Cops have level 2 3 or 4 holsters when open carrying, but they almost always wait for plenty of backup before putting themselves into sketchy situations. Most cops are called into situations where the threat is already labeled and they are ready and expecting it. A security guard volunteer never knows who will be a threat or when a threat will present itself or how alone they will be when engaging a threat. They will have to pay for their training, ammo, and gear. Unlike a cop who will get all that provided with pay. Also, it would be a lot easier to have a slower holster rig if you knew your chest was protected by body armor like most cops wear daily. Most cops will wait for swat and only secure the perimeter before even engaging and active shooter, while the church security will be right in the mess on the front lines if something happens.

I believe I know who you’re referring to and I really enjoy his channel. I heard him make the comment requiring a level 2 holster and I have to say I also disagree. In most churches concealment is going to take priority over retention and I believe a WELL MADE friction holster is sufficient even in a scuffle. If you need level 2 I think your best bet would be a form molded leather pancake style holster with a thumb break would be the most concealable. A shoulder rig under a jacket would also work but they come with their own drawbacks.
@matthewtilley5500 Agree. I like his channel as well, but I think ex cops will never grow out of their training even if outdated or wrong. Nice comment. How many cops off duty carry level 2 holsters concealed? Open carry is a completely different topic.
@matthewtilley5500 Also, most conceal carry trainers or instructors carry appendix nowadays. I don't like carrying that way often, but it completely invalidates those instructors by saying you should only carry level two concealed. I am holding hope I have misinterpreted what these retired cops think. I don't think I can change their mind because that would invalidate what they have taught for years.

I wholly agree. When your a true Christian, you can't help but let it guide your life and shine through every aspect in your life. @@slowdeaths00 Very little velocity loss.
Oh you have a 3inch barrel nice wow such same.
Hey @slowdeaths00 your lake of knowledge on ported guns is showing. Porting this gun porbably cost him about 80 to 100 fps so shooting plus p ammo will give you pretty much the exact same results as stranded ammo would have before porting it and in the case of a competition or rang gun who cares. Plus porting it makes the gun shoot way falter so you get much faster follow up shots and in the case of this gun it just looks awesome as well lol
Not that flat
@mrsincere4640 Yeah I am going to work on spring rates and bullet grain tests to see. My small hands don't help with big guns like this.
What about porting with a comp on brotha ? Spring rate ? ammo recommendations ? Great video keep it up
@2swole4u74 You can port with a comp on if you don't overdo it. There is always a point where it is too much. Spring rate depends on slide weight and trigger system and other things. It should shoot almost any ammo if tuned right and or also ported comped correctly.
🤙🤙🤙
For your competition pistol, do you have a preferable weight for your pistol when you go to an IDPSA match?
@Styxx2018 Not really. The lighter and heavier pistols all have their pros and cons. I guess I prefer a carry optic pistol to weigh around 43 ounces, but I find guns that weigh around 30 ounces to be easier to transition. I do prefer guns to weigh at least 25 or so ounces. If guns are too light, they are not as easy to control.

Just from a design de Swanpfox will be more ecsposed for brass as the SRO. Both of they have a really thick frame - I don’t know if that will be a problem but the shield rmsx is much slimmer and are preferable I think.
@oddsparrow8522 True. I have found only a few models of handgun that like to eject bullets straight back occasionally. I don't have many of them. The large glass is great for speed dot acquisition on draw and target transitions. For precision and slow accuracy shooting, yes, it is not necessary.
