A flight around the now defunct Neptune Hotel at Fort Myers Beach. The rooms are now occupied by the homeless and the grounds used for free beach-front parking by the locals although the police have mentioned restricting the area due to safety concerns.

I wish they would start reconstructing the pier already. Its kind of sad seeing it look like the Stonehenge of FMB.
What happened to the beach water. It never came back. It looks nasty still. Not blue like Naples and Marco Island.
They still haven't rebuilt the pier. Dang.

Why is the water so ugly.
That's how it normally is. The city throws in dye every once in awhile to make the water look nicer, but they haven't kept up with it, it seems like. They haven't even rebuilt the pier, yet.

This is heartbreaking to see. The Neptune used to be such a beautiful hotel with an ideal location! The entire FMB community has been decimated. Sadly I’m not sure it will ever recover.

How so? Have you seen Mexico Beach, FL, decimated by Hurricane Michael in 2018??? These mega disasters, like Michael and Ian, which hit a much larger, more populated beach, take at least 10 years to bounce back. There’s only so much governments can do. Now it’s on the private sector and places like Margaritaville Beach Resort are JUMPSTARTING the long process. BE REALISTIC!

*It still appears they are rebuilding the area. I haven't been on that side of the Florida since before the hurricane trashed it. The pier hasn't been rebuilt either. I should dig out my drone footage of what it used to look like and reupload it. Thanks for sharing. 👍*

Great video Vince! I've been eyeing the dji mini 4 and see its on your recommended list. Do you have any videos using it?
It's an amazing drone. Some of the footage is integrated with that of my primary drone (Mavic 3), which is more weighted with better wind resistance for very windy days at the beach. The video is indistinguishable from the Mavic in good lighting, and the controls are exactly the same. It's definitely a great choice and very easy to fly.
I remember XLTE used to give more than 500 down, UW is really crappy still i think

That’s not 3gbps that’s just 300mbps
375 megabytes would be equivalent to 3 gigabits (375x8) Although this particular test is slightly under that. The node has a 3 gigabit throughput, which is pretty impressive for a mobile connection and is better reflected during night hours when no one is using the connection from the park it's in.
