Sebastian Gunawan's Signature 2024/2025
Japan is the focus of the creativity of designer duo Sebastian Gunawan and Cristina Panarese for the latest collection for the Sebastian Gunawan Signature brand. The idea was brought back to Orukami (Oru means folded, Kami means paper) and the Yukata Kimono, especially the draped part on the back when the kimono is worn casually and forms waves that hang down the sides of the back. They also applied the idea to a typical European clothing design.
The Sebastian Gunawan Signature 2024/2025 collection uses materials such as crepe, mikado, tulle, chiffon silk, damask, lace, tweed, shantung, jacquard, leather for gloves, and soft Chenille knitted yarn which is used as a substitute for the fur effect. Sebastian and Cristina also designed jewelry to complement the design in the form of earrings, necklaces and brooches, in the form of dragonflies, ribbons and modules, whose silhouettes are as if from the Orukami process.
