何とこの客車たちの殆どが、今から35年前の1988年にパリ〜東京間を走破し、さらにはJR各線を駆け抜けた「ノスタルジー・インスタンブール・オリエントエクスプレス」の生まれ変わった姿です。 当時「オリエントエクスプレス'88」に組み込まれてたプルマン車(No.4158)は、ご存知の通り箱根仙石原ラリック美術館で保存展示されてますが、隣に連結されてた大統領専用車「プレジデンシャル」(No.3354)の動向は、依然としてわからない状態です。どなたかご存知の方がいれば良いのですが....。

Beautiful design. Is the refurbishment intended to be introduced throughout the train? The new design is lovely but I still hold the dream of travelling in the historical carriages dear to my heart
